Sporcle

This replacement app is awful. Adverts, subscriptions, can’t save quizzes without subscriptions. Search is dreadful and took me 3 attempts to get what I was looking for. It’s a downgrade in almost every sense and the fact that you’re now requesting for money for people to get the features they previously had is irritating. Guess you’ve forced my hand into going elsewhere for something to do while I’m in a waiting room or on the toilet

So many ads. The old app was so much better. A simple experience that actually gave customers what they wanted.

The legacy Sporcle was one of the first apps I downloaded on my phone. Loved it! Easy layout, great quizzes, my ‘go to’ app to while away some time. Played it for years on a daily basis. And then the devs ruined it. Confusing layout, pic quizzes that are impossible to see on a phone, ads all over the place, and they want £6 a month for the super-duper adfree version! A great example of how ruin an app in the pursuit of money…

Stop changing stuff. First scrabble now this

I used to play on the old Sporcle app and had no problems at all, I played it every day. However I couldn’t search for quizzes and just learned about the new app. I can’t even sign in to the app and can’t do any quizzes. Luckily I still have the old app and have a load of quizzes saved and can still play them.

I can log in via the website with my google mail account. But when I try my google mail account it says “signing in” in a green box and then disappears. Absolutely awful update. Furious. As I’m very loyal to sporcle and played over 5,000,000 quizzes

I love the app, it’s very fun after a long day. Especially the geography games for me personally. I got the app after seeing JackSucksAtGeography’s videos and decided to download it. Ever since i have played it just about every day.

I have been playing Sporcle on the website and old app for well over 10 years everyday. Features I liked from the old app that have now gone include being able to turn off the timer, seeing your previous best score which helped you know which quizzes you had already done and I also liked the noises. This new app is way too expensive for the paid option so I can’t justify the cost. But without any of the above mentioned features it’s infuriating. That’s before you even get to the adverts. I may have to give up my Sporcle habit altogether.

This app doesn’t work well on a recent iPad with most up to date iOS. May we have access to the old app please?

I’ve been using Sporcle for over a decade and the previous version of the app was much better, but unfortunately is no longer supported. This version of the app is inferior in every way, and now includes adverts! Sad that Sporcle have sold out
