Surf Shack App

This is a review of the app, not on the restaurant (which is awesome!) They recently switched to their own app (from very user-friendly and nicely designed Pej) to their own, which I’m sorry to say looks like the work of a very sloppy coder. The design is awful! They company who created has 0kr on the design budget. To make things worse, it works poorly. Dear great hamburger restaurant: I truly hope you didn’t pay much for this app, because it’s awful.

Varför i hela fridens namn ska jag behöva skapa ett konto för att kunna beställa en burgare på en restaurang? Innan behövde ni en mail för att kunna skicka kvittot - fine - men att skapa en konto genom ett formulär som inte ens stödjer copy/paste (så lösenordhanterare funkar inte) är helt absurt.

Any user testing done at all?

Only accepts swish, bad user flow and generally very confusing and bad. Makes me not want to go back to the restaurant.

The app has been improved a lot from previous versions. The only issue I have run into is that it does not give any indication when there are more information on the page. If the page is cut in an unfortunate position, the user doesn’t know that there are more options to pick from, and sometimes leading to confusing warning messages when a mandatory option has not been selected. The burgers are great though.

Riktigt dålig app, buggar, man måste regga dig trots att man inte ska behöva det (bryter säkert mot gdpr också), de tar inte samtliga kortalternativ etc

Ett bra flöde saknas. Dåligt att man måste registrera sig (och får en massa SPAM).

äcklig mat som inte alls va prisvärd, åt helvete för dyrt. kaskadspydde med tre vänner efter besöket pga milkshaken. aldrig igen.

Skulle vara bra om man tog Apple Pay också för att slippa mata in adress och kortnummer.

Otroligt irriterande app. När det kommer nya versioner måste den alltid ominstalleras. 🤔
