TaskTask for Outlook Tasks

Save your money. This app does not work. Crashed from the word go.

It's the only task manager that lets you sort/view by category. Awesome.

I like the categories feature. If you rely on outlook tasks and were hoping for an app that allows you to use them on your mobile device do not purchase this app. It has made a meal of active sync with my sever exchange tasks. I have a private office 365 account and I have not adjusted the settings in any way but this app cannot sync my task list in a manner that makes it of use to me. I do not recommend this app at all and don’t feel that they should have a paid version available. I wish apple did not let you sell app on the app market. Main issues -ruins my task lists with repeats and leaves out tasks(I have reviewed my retention policy and worked out the kinks but then the same issue arose again) -very very slow in communicating with the server. -my task list is like a huge burden reliever it remembers the mundane but important tasks that make up my life and work. I really needed something more reliable.

Tasktask works well on Exchange 2010. I followed the manual setup instructions, described on the web site. The tasktask ui works well. It is well written app and an excellent investment.

Neither the manual or automatic sync settings worked in connecting to our 2007 server.

If you have more than about 50 tasks ( including recurring tasks ) then this app is extremely slow, taking about a minute to update after completing a task.

Sadly, Ryan Greg LLC has left this wonderful app in the dust. It is, by far, the best task app out there. It has a few minor challenges that the developer should be able to solve in short order, but he has left it for dead. So I cannot recommend you pay for this anymore. The biggest issue I face is that it randomly stops connecting to my personal Microsoft 365 account. It takes days/weeks to get it to properly authenticate and begin working again. It works fine with my work M365 accounts. Perhaps Ryan is afraid of completing the privacy info for the app, perhaps he’s tired of it, he was abducted by aliens, or some other reason. But if he is listening, hey, would love it if you would update this great app… my most used!!

YOU can’t order the tasks. The color is missing. Color task settings don’t translate into the black and white lists. There are too many items there from the ancient past in “tasks”. This is not fun to use and I’m sorry I got it. Yes, it syncs with outlook to do, but that’s its only virtue. Otherwise it’s a joyless and useless app.

Today 06-24-23 the app just stopped working. I received a window telling me the “the specified object was not found”. I love this app. Please figure out the problem and correct it!
