This never connects and now won’t update. Little help from Alpinestars. Don’t buy one!

I find it extremely troubling that an expensive piece of protective equipment purchased solely for the purpose of maintaining my well-being does so mainly by through the use of complex technology and algorithms to know when to release. I can only hope that those who program the vest have absolutely nothing to do with this app, it is dreadful. It’s incomplete, randomly connects, never tracks rides and frankly, behaves like it was done by an amateur not a professional outfit.

Useless won’t connect to allow use

iPhone user. Multiple app deletes. Multiple re-registering. The attempted software update turned the LED unit into a brick. No support from Alpinestars despite multiple email requests for help. Still can’t do the software update on the TechAir 10 suit. BKS (Exmouth) have been brilliant, even though they didn’t sell me the suit - even supplied me a new LED unit free of charge! Alpinestars - be ashamed! I’ll not send any more money (£££) your way!

No matter what I do the app will NOT connect to the tech air 5. So I CANNOT use it on the track. Refund required Alpinestars. Absolute rubbish in this day and age. No excuse whatsoever

Scanned the code and connected!! Simple. Can’t see what the problem is. I just hope I’m not back for the crash review 😉

Software update doesn’t work.

If you happen to change number and not update your account, there is no way to register the vest with the new number to verify it. You can’t even register the vest with a new account as can only register it once which is stupid for just a vest. Customer service is awful, just ignores you and doesn’t help. Just a simple thing to update my number so I can use the account but no help at all. Vest can’t be updated now. Pretty bad experience for a £600 jacket.

Is this solely for the tech air 5 or does it work with other Tech Air suits, needs to be specific

Tried and tried to connect this £1000 vest and it just doesn’t work 😤😤
