Which would be fine… if we weren’t writing in markdown. “Rename” menu item doesn’t work at all. I’d call this pre-alpha software. These are things that would have been found by any testers. I look forward to seeing how this shapes up when and if it’s ever tested and basic bugs like this are corrected.

The UI of this app is too similar to iA Writer to be a coincidence, but I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. This app is priced much lower, which is nice, but has a long ways to go to be as nice as its inspiration. I’ll keep my eye on this one!

Hands down my favorite editor rn. Super simple. Extremely lightweight html export (unlike some other editors). Dev responded to my previous review about the width of editor. I found what they were talking about: There are 3 width sizes (i missed them initially). This is pretty much the text editor i’d build. i also love the typewriter sounds. i hope it remains simple and doesn’t try to “evolve” too much from here. 😆

When I wanna write, I wanna write. I don’t wanna hide sidebars. I don’t wanna hide toolbars. I don’t wanna have to put the left edge of my text editor window in the center of my screen in order to center the page I’m writing on in my view. Luckily for me… this app exists and I’m supremely thankful to its creator. Cons: The typing area is quite narrow. I do wish there was a way to increase the page width.

I just came across this app, and it's a wonderful tool for editing markdown documents, and it's free! It's reasonably configurable. I can only think of a few things it would helfpu to configure a little more: 1. Hide the scrollbar in the navigation sidebar, as it's disctracting. 2. Be able to configure the color for formatting symbols like # *, etc separately from the foreground color so that they're less disctracting. 3. More control over line-height and margins than the few defaults offerec. 4. An option to keep the window title bar visible even if tabs aren't displayed. I'm still surprised by how great this app is for free! Thanks!

please make it save the file more often, say, add a save button and make it so that when the keyboard is pulled down it will also autosave. i keep losing everything i write over and over and over so if u could fix that id use it EDIT: the reason i lose the text is because it doesnt autosave enough and theres no way to manually save or to know if its saved. so, if i go out of the app before it decides to autosave for example, then it wont ever be able to save... i think it autosaves like once a minute but also sometimes it just doesnt autosave and i have to edit the file again for it to notice the changes and save

This developer deserves a coffee! Nicely done and still works well in 2024. I love the Amber theme (retro style) typewriter sound. Love being able to save files locallly. THANK YOU!

I wish this app were cross-platform.. it's simply the best because it does what it is supposed to do and nothing else. No spellcheck, no ugly interface, just plain jane, get to work.
