I really like this app, it's perfect in a lot of ways, with the typewriter-style line scrolling, and user themes, and other options. The main way I think it could be improved is with more user customisation - like Focuswriter. The ability to do things like specify image backgrounds, or add custom sounds would elevate this app to absolute perfection.

5 Starts for every thing it says on the tin. The nearly is for asking for a rating midflow in what I would consider life changing. The above review came up as my review so saved me time...so ditto

Thank you for this app! It is brilliant for me! My favourite features are the dark theme and the typwriter sound, as I used to collect typewriters. Please do not make it too complex, as I love not being distracted by too many features. However, I would love to be able to move the paragraph at the top of the page and also having bold writing for the title. Maybe there is already a setting for that? Thank you!

Yes, it's a great app. I like it although it could do with more 'power user' shortcuts (move a line up/down for e.g.) It would get 4 stars if it wasn't for the start of a nasty distraction in the form of a 'rate us now' pop-up. Clicking 'not now' sends it away for about a minute. It just won't go away and I've lost my concentration. Cheers for that. UPDATE Thanks to the developer getting back about this which is possibly an OS issue. Pumped the stars up accordingly.

This is a great app. Does as much as some of the paid for apps and even more sometimes. Completey distraction free but the best thing for me is the typewriter like quality or simulation. I love this aspect of the app. If this is your thing as well, download and give this a try. It is free, what is there to lose.

This developer deserves a coffee! Nicely done and still works well in 2024. I love the Amber theme (retro style) typewriter sound. Love being able to save files locallly. THANK YOU!

I wish this app were cross-platform.. it's simply the best because it does what it is supposed to do and nothing else. No spellcheck, no ugly interface, just plain jane, get to work.
