Awful App
Re subscribed - cannot load purchased charts. Lost all waypoints loaded. Then tried uninstalling app (lost all info prior to this) - still no charts, error message when trying to download. App crashes frequently.

Chart folios can be purchased and downloaded in the iSailor Chart Store utilizing the standard iTunes Store payment/purchasing procedure. Chart correction service is provided on annual basis via the auto-renewable subscription service. iTunes will charge payment after confirmation of the chart correction purchase. You may manage your subscriptions and turn off the auto-renewal service in the Account Settings. Your subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the subscription period. You can cancel your subscription in the Chart Store any time. All previously purchased chart folios will remain available for you and can be restored from the service via the Chart Restore function. To receive subsequent chart corrections for your purchased charts, you will need to subscribe to the annual updates in the Chart Store.
The application works on iPhone and iPad using built-in GPS, NMEA Wi-Fi GPS or an external Bluetooth GPS.
Supported devices (iOS version 9.3.5 and higher):
• iPhone 4S or higher
• iPad - 2nd generation or higher
iSailor features:
• Positioning system: iOS (Built-In GPS), NMEA GPS or AIS Class B (Option)
• AIS Class A NavData interface (Option)
• NMEA Heading and Rate-Of-Turn sensors (Option)
• NMEA Echo Sounder with a graphical 2D echogram and water temperature sensor (Option)
• NMEA Wind Sensor, including True & Relative wind calculation (Option)

• Display of charts, routes, track(s) and user objects
• AIS target presentation. Target contours and dimensions (Option)

• North Up, COG Up, Head Up and Route Up chart orientations
• Information on any vector chart objects
• Free cursor, Point-To-Point and Own ship referenced ERBL functionality
• Monitoring of navigational data: Position, Course (COG) and Speed Over Ground (SOG)
• Route creation by the graphic and tabular methods. “Go To” routes.
• Waypoint monitoring: Bearing to WP, Distance to WP, XTD, Time-To-Go and ETA
• Schedule information: Time-To-Go and ETA to any selected waypoint ahead

NOTE: Continuous use of the GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease the battery life. Wärtsilä iSailor application may use your location even when it’s not open, which can decrease battery life of the device

Seems like abandoneware
Used to be great, but after being acquired I’ve not seen any updates to the main program. Charts changed from being single purchase to subscription. I’m fine with that, but my last sub update in December is not recognised by iSailor and my emails to support have gone unanswered. Look elsewhere.
Flat Earthers in Wartsila
Navigation between points in east and west hemispheres crossing the 180 meridian highlight a fatal flaw in this app. Approaching the meridian there is no chart display beyond the 180 line, just a black screen. Plotting a course across the meridian requires the user to scroll all the way around the world to plot the second waypoint. The course line between the two waypoints, even though they may be only 10 miles apart, is drawn all the way around the world. The course and distance labelled on the midpoint of the course line is actually correct. This is the only navigation app I have observed with this problem and must be fairly easy to solve, but Wartsila do not seem interested in sorting out the issue. Very disappointing.

Very poor
I have just made the mistake of subscribing to this app. The actual software looks quite good but the support is terrible. I have sent 3 emails asking for help (generally where the software is out of sync with the manual) and get auto replies but not answer. I guess Wartsila have abandoned the app? It would be nice if someone from the company clarified the position.

Was good once
Have been a long time advocate of Sailor but have lost tidal and cannot even download it even if this means paying for it twice. No communication from Wartsila seems that have no interest in supporting the app. Now they are increasing the price!
Can’t restore chart purchase.
Please can someone help me. I purchased an chart folio on iPhone just now and it won’t restore on iPad. The app recognises I own it, but I can’t see how to restore to iPad.
Was good - tides & currents disappeared
Used to be a 4* app. Good detailed charts, but at times unintuitive UI and clunky UX. This was totally forgivable given the upsides of the app, in particularly the overlaid tides and tidal current information. However, sometime in early 2022, without notification (or refund!) the tidal information and currents just disappeared. The main reason I had this app instead of others: gone. I tried to contact and ask for an explanation; no one got back to me. I tried to get a refund through Apple; no luck. I had three chart regions and the tides, so that’s about £80 down the drain. I don’t want to hammer this company. Something must be going on. I just want my tides and currents back :’(
