This app is no longer maintained and is only intended for use with Wave Gen 1 monitors. If you don’t have a Wave Gen 1 in your setup, please use the Airthings app. To know if you have a Wave Gen 1, look for serial numbers starting with 2900. You can find the serial number on the label at back of your monitor where the batteries are stored.

Wave Gen 1
Please improve data graphs so it could show the exact time of the day, while scrolling through the data. It is mostly unusable now. Please add small description of each data, which wave plus can collect? including the normal thresholds. For example describe the CO2 and show that <600 is very good, 600-800 is ok, >800 bad, etc.
Useless
Only thing worse than the ap is the poor tech support from the product suppliers
Better permission handling and graphing required
If you reject the location permission there’s no way to later change your mind. Alerts offer tips to resolve in notifications, but the in-app guidance is sadly lacking.
The app also emphasises how the calibration period data is not actionable, yet includes it on all the charts which ruins data comparisons. The graphing is also much weaker in terms of visualisation and UI than that found in their View Plus app. I’m not even sure why there are two apps when both do the same thing.
Having 48 hours be the minimum graphing period is also a mystery.
App crashing constantly
IOS 15.6.1 the app is crashing constantly. It feels like the company was doing well when I bought the device a few years ago and it was well supported but there is absolutely no support recently. No new features have appeared or updates to the UI for a couple of years. Basically unusable now. Don’t buy.
Poor data visualisation
Minimum period you can see via the app itself is 48 hours—so not very useful if you’ve opened a window to improve CO2 and want to see how the CO2 level has changed. (It does show you the measurement at a point in time, but this is also not very useful since the updating seems to be pretty spotting, and a lot of manual refreshing is necessary. Better than nothing though.)
Connection issues. App needs proper testing
The latest update seems to have created connection issues. My web dashboard no longer connects - page not found. The values on the unit and in the app don’t match. It crashes when accessing some menus.
Thinking of returning the unit. Seems like a beta-test product or a Kickstarter, not something costing £259.
Nice app, but needs a couple of tweaks
Nice, simple, clean app.
The graphs in the app don’t display the latest data, nor the time that a particular reading was taken at. So the current values in the summary screen don’t match the graphs. Time zone issue?
The width of the graphs goes right up to the edge of the screen, so if you want to see the last value you have to swipe into the next graph. Looks nice, but a bit awkward.
Alerts - as the devices have no speakers, it would be great if the app could give you audible alerts. Option to have alerts by creating an instant alarm would get around iOS’s inability to choose exclusions from Do Not Disturb. (C’mon Apple, sort that out)
I’m blown away with the customer service
I have a basement and discovered about 12 months ago that I have a radon gas down there and I was very concerned about it. Since buying the monitor and downloading this app I am very pleased with everything it’s producing for me all the figures which means I can go into the basement when the figure for radon gas is going down. I have contacted a company in order to mitigate the radon gas now. I have to commend customer service it is 10 out of 10 five star. Friendly quick and understanding.
I wholeheartedly recommend.
Great on the iPhone, not so good on iPad
The iPhone app is good, but the iPad version falls flat on its face by only working in portrait mode. All iPad apps need to work in landscape mode! Portrait mode on an iPad with attached keyboard is awful, with the keyboard at the side and on its side!
Great app, great UI
I have just recently purchased the the wave mini to mainly monitor my air quality in the house and using the app shows the readings of all 3 sensors with ease ( voc, humidity and temperature).
The app itself is very clean and shows everything you need to know on one page which shows current levels. You can move on to dedicated sensor page which shows the average levels, and historical data.
If there were improvements to be made to this app, it should be:
1) have a graph in 5 min increments for the last 24 hours (just like in the online dashboard). This will help quickly identify any changes you have made or noticed when the levels of voc increased.
2) Alert notification is pushed through to your mobile if levels increases to a dangerous amount or a selected threshold you have chosen to take appropriate action.
