Using the iOS notifications feature, Westminster Chimes converts your phone into an old fashioned hourly chiming clock, playing one of five traditional melodies:
• Westminster
• Whittington
• St. Michael's
• Canterbury
• Winchester
The chimes will play, even when the app isn't running.
Simple settings allow for complete customization:
• Separately set the chimes to play on each quarter hour
• Chime the hour number on the hour
• Play the chimes all day, or only during a specific time window.
You can adjust how notifications are displayed in the Notifications section of the Settings app. We recommend the following settings:
Notification Center: OFF
Alert Style : NONE
Badge App Icon : OFF
Sounds : ON
View in Lock Screen : OFF
Banners: OFF
Completely accessible for the visually impaired.

Muy buena
Me recuerda a cuando era niño, y escuchaba el reloj de mi casa, tocar por las noches, el sonido de las campanas del Wetsminster!. La uso a diario. Quizas mejoraria añadiendo nuevas campanas. He notado (quizas es solo impresion mia), que toca mas lentas las campanadas de 15,30,45,00 que como lo hacia al principio, pero de todas formas se escucha muy nitido y parecen de verdad!! A ver, si ahora, que la estoy alabando tanto, añaden nuevas campanas, y me beneficio de su actualizacion... je je je!

Love the sound! But no longer works with Apple Updates
This was the best app for Westminster chimes. But it stopped working a few updates ago.

Great app, needs higher chime sounds, issues with iOS 17
so I got this app because I like the idea of my phone chiming on the hour or quarter hour or whatever you want. I use the spoken voice more often than not. However, I would like to see some higher quality chime sounds. And some different bell strikes on the hour for each chime type if you will. And right now, it does not seem to be working with iOS 17. I have the chimes, turned on, volume on high, and I’ve got it set to strike on the hour. I’m using the spoken voice granted. But I have tried it with other chimes in the past with iOS 17, and no results. Just thought I should throw that out there. There might be a disagreement with the app and iOS 17.
Slow to keep up for iOS updates
Every time that iOS releases a major update, this app stops working. The app is only updated about once a year. It’s a shame, because other than that, I really like the application.
Please update for 17.1
Please update the app. I really miss not having it Work new phone new ISO 17 does not like this app. Please do an update soon.
App does not work with current iOS
So I see we can’t contact Luther oft. The makers of this application. That actually disturbs me. And one instance of the operating system it was broken. Then in another instance they fix it. Now here we are up to iOS 17.0.1 and it’s broken again. So of course I downloaded the app again after deleting it from my phone and then reinstalled it. the problem with this is the following. I don’t want a bunch of notifications showing up in my notifications center just to get the sound to work. Is there a workaround for this or will they update this? I certainly hope so as I love this app.
