Downloaded app to book cab for airport next morning. After going through the setup process, we “booked” trip. After we did this, the app said “your request is confirmed”, not “your booking is confirmed”. I used the “call us” feature in the app to contact company. The operator said, “We have your request. Your request will be sent to drivers tomorrow morning, 15 minutes before the requested time.” When I asked, “So, we don’t actually have a booking?”, she just repeated the above script again and again. Just unbelievable. The moral of the story is: don’t use this if you want a confirmed booking before an important trip. Your request is just that; it’s not a booking. If you actually want to reserve a cab, use Uber. Simple, straightforward and reliable. Cost in 13cabs was $43. Uber was $26. Comparing the experience with 13cabs vs with Uber, it is like night and day. 13cabs is a dinosaur and will soon be extinct, wiped out by a company that provides a clear and reliable way to do something very, very simple.
The 10% booking fee is applied onto toll charges too. Making this quite uncompetitive to just hailing cab off the street or calling for one using the good old telephone. I would go with didi next time
Preordered a cab, it never came! No point using this app.
At the Taxi rank at the Gold Coast airport there is no signage saying that it is actually a taxi rank. Also even though I booked a taxi when the taxi turned up it didn’t look for me. I was in the crowd but just started to load other passengers.
Drivers repeatedly cancelled trips when they seen it was low fare but still took money out my bank account. Customer service is only open 3 days a week for 3 hours. Just avoid and call a taxi or use Uber
The fact that you can’t book through the app means there’s no difference between you and third-party ride shares, but then when I go to call there’s also the bonus of a long-winded voice prompt machine to get to a person, I just hung up. You aren’t offering anything better, and you have higher prices which was supposed to be more reliability
Booked a maxi taxi via the app 3 days ago. Checked booking an hour before due and waited till 15 minutes after it was due and no driver was confirmed. I was constantly reminded I was their highest priority but no one responded to the booking so I canceled it and drove myself - no drinks for me! When you ring you cannot speak to a person from the options provided. By trial and error I found that option 7 puts you through to a person but they were so busy they didn’t answer before I left just listened to their music on hold. I have now deleted the app. Never again!
App is clunky and frequently does interface well with payment process. Was not accepting verification codes
Drivers are always kind and courteous. As well as genuinely interested in providing a great level of service.
