CREATE

Doesn’t work well for editing

I have a lot of trouble making this work. I understand swipes are useful, but sometimes even hitting the Edit button doesn’t do anything. I have to close and open it. Does anyone know a better alternative?

Fantastic find

Really happy I found this one. Ticks all the boxes for me - markdown, WebDAV sync, and great extensibility options. Keep up the good work!

using it daily for years

been using it for a few years now to write notes in plaintext files with some markdown in a dropbox folder while having them synced with pc. love it!

Very impressive

I love the WebDav connectivity and the powerful search feature which looks inside the documents at great speed.

Configurable text editor

Very flexible text editor. Main features for me are webdav integration, scripting and extendable keyboard.

Top app!

Hele goede app voor werken met tekst en markdown files. De zoekfunctie is snel, ook bij een grote hoeveelheid bestanden. En je kunt de zoekresultaten sorteren zoals je wil, dat kan bij bij veel vergelijkbare apps niet. Verder wordt WebDav ondersteund, prima! Synchroniseren gaat sowieso snel via Dropbox, iCloud en WebDav. Al met al een aanrader.

Great simple writing app. Syncs perfectly with my text notes on both Dropbox and iCloud. Have been using for years and still happily using it. Keep up the good work!

Best of its kind

Typing experience is great, but the organization features (including in-text tags and very usable search) make this app the best of its kind. I’ve come to prefer it over iA. One thing: please add support for yaml front matter, because now it’s rendered very ugly in preview mode.

Nadert perfectie

Eindelijk dan ondersteuning voor WebDAV! 🎉 Kan ik eindelijk afstappen van Dropbox en opslag onder eigen controle gebruiken. Daarmee nadert de toch al super fijne applicatie voor beheer van mijn notities perfectie.

Very neat app

1Writer is a clean but powerful text/markdown editor which I chose because it can render markdown checklists so that you can actually use it to create packing lists, grocery lists etc. The JavaScript functionality allows you to extend the app to your needs, even though the possibilities seem to be limited (e.g. not being able to directly access files—having to access files via the editor object instead). I love that the app can easily interact with all kinds of file services via the Files app integration and integrates seamlessly with Working Copy for connecting to git repositories for file versioning. I’m impressed
