This site is user friendly and connects you to great homes and great hosts. I’ve rented via this site many times and the home has always been as described- or better!

This began as a Mother’s Day trip with my four siblings, their spouses and our parents. Twelve in total. The home is absolutely classic and easily accommodated all of us. It is 2 blocks from Who’dat Cafe, 4 blocks from Roberts Fresh Market and a half mile from the French Quarter. Close enough to enjoy but far enough to keep from being overwhelmed. We just got back from our 4night stay. Yes it was a Mother’s Day trip, but that was pre covid. Chuck is a wonderful host/property owner. He gave helpful advice for negotiating the area, a must in the maze of one - way streets that makeup the neighborhood. We spent quiet mornings sipping coffee on the porches and veranda, and evenings enjoying music and drinks in the courtyard. If you have a large group that wants to stay together a little off the beaten path,but close enough to the action to Uber yourself to the night life this is your place

I loved HomeAway. In fact I have rented homes multiple times from home away. HomeAway recently was bought out by VRBO and I can tell the difference, the last two homes were not nice and the customer service with the last home we rented is absent. I wish HomeAway could go back to the way it was originally. 🙁

Phone number listed isn’t valid and a computer responds to live chat so I’m not getting anywhere with changing my reservation

We have been staying in this home for the past three years and look forward to returning again. The home is very well appointed , located in a great location with plenty of natural environment and places to walk to. There is plenty of sporting equipment for every season and the home has a very welcoming open floor plan... great for families or couples . Definitely deserving of a 5 plus star rating!

The app, like the company, is difficult to deal with. When you click on the replythe page to edit or verify the information. I still get spam / phishing emails because they don't filter bogus phone numbers and email addresses. Their map does not show my property until you expand it to gigantic proportions yet it shows all my neighboring competition in a much smaller scale. Even after a renter has booked my property online, they still block their email address from me! They bury my listing even though I have continuously anted up to the tune of almost $1000/yr now. I could go on all night, but these are the most annoying issues.

We just love experiencing new places like "locals" and the ability to communicate with the owners, most of whom will want to help u plan ur activities. I wish ur service fee wasn't so high... cutting it by 50% would be nice.... but c'est la vie!

This was the easiest booking ever. Highly recommend!

Love having the ability to save favorites on boards! I also like that owners can give a review on us.
