I’ve used this app for years and it isn’t as good as it used to be. Too many changes, too many bugs.
Edit: as I’ve used this app, I’ve noticed more things breaking with each update. As of this update, Home Screen widgets no longer work if I’m in list mode. You used to be able to select just one list to display per widget, but now it makes you choose two… and doesn’t display either of them. This app is basically perfect! An absolute delight to use, and has support for home screen widgets *and* standby mode. Fantastic… except why not let us run the iPad version on M1 Macs like a lot of other apps? It’s a simple checkbox on App Store Connect and I could totally put up with the slight iPadOS carry over weirdnesses… I just would love to be able to work on my lists on my Mac for productivity! Please please please consider ticking the checkbox!
I tried to use and get this app, i was unable to add tasks, let alone do much at all without it asking me to buy a subscription to the bundle of 3 apps. While it isn’t a huge price per year, if you’re looking for a free to do list app I do not recommend this one.
Love this app for lists and reminders but there is no accompanying Mac app, and that’s too bad. I’ve been using Omnifocus and it’s amazing but really very expensive. I had hoped this collection of apps would be an omnifocus replacement, but unfortunately: close, but no cigar.
I recently came back to try it out after a 4 year hiatus. I’ve really gotten into creating reminders with iOS’s built-in system, but it’s not very visual, and I remember Moleskin’s Actions having more of that. Unfortunately, it looks like they have yet to sync reminders beyond importing them. Checking off an action in Moleskin, and then checking it off again in Reminders, is just tedious work. Ironically enough, their other app, “Timepage,” successfully syncs Reminders data just fine.
Please make the zone for swiping to a different list larger so I don't have to reposition my hand to reach the edge of screen! Same for the actual tasks it would be great if they loaded in from the bottom vs the top. It's hard to reach up there. When adding notes "Date no date someday" are out of reach. Like if all the things you would tap were in the bottom half of the screen this would be the perfect app
I have tried everything on the Moleskin support page and I still cannot get this app to sync with iOS reminders. It synced a couple of items but not everything. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no success. Frustrating. Repair or refund please!
If it still supported ios 14 it would be worth keeping. I use both 14 and 17 It still doesn’t work. Cant import reminders
I suppose I am one of many productivity app junkies out there… ‘this app will solve all my productivity issues for sure!’… Alas, that oversells all productivity apps. I almost always ditch them once the fun wears off. But I gotta say, the Actions and Timepage apps are so very pleasant to use. The aesthetics and haptic effects are just right. And while they don’t gamify or gimmick it, they do the necessary things that all productivity apps do, they are easy to use, and they are in sync across my devices… but it is the pleasant and easy to use factor that keeps me from ditching it for the next shiny toy that promises to fix all my woes. The biggest endorsement is I actually keep using it over a few months now. To the developers, I love the cleanness of the interface and the ability to change the theme palette. The choices are clean, easy, and not overwhelming. I do wish the themes had additional adaptability for things like fonts. Being able to change the look and feel so easily is a part of what helps me stay engaged when I get bored with a toy.
I really want to give my money and go all in. I would even pay more! As I look through the feature requests they all seem to masked with the hope of “under review”. The one most glaring feature, syncing with Apple Reminders has been in this status for over 5 years. The funny thing is that Moleskine has sister apps that already do this. I proceeded to send an email to ask…. 5 years of “under review” feels a little much, and the response was, great news, this feature is under review with no timeline. Hands down, this ecosystem would be absolutely amazing if the Moleskine team encouraged collaboration between their product teams to make what feels to be a basic feature expectation in this day and age happen. Or, if that is just not going to happen, the company should not hide behind “under review” for over 5 years and keep people hanging. What does this do for brand reputation?
