Do interest rates improve MY life? There’s the disenchantment. The concept of “purchasing power” is their estimate (or lie) of what they can loan you. I understand debts are paid back at 30% interest, yet Affirm lies when I say I have “purchasing power” when my yearly income is less than $12,000 a year. I don’t have “purchasing power” with my circumstances and that’s the reason I borrow money with Affirm. Poverty is costly, and the interest I’ve paid for two years has not interested financial institutions in remedying my poverty.
