As a result all I can give is my honest opinions based on memories tho distant and the feeling of the overall world and related factors. My advise to anyone picking this up, firstly, be sure in your mind what your playing this for, the story, the PvP or both, If it’s the latter of those options or even just the PvP then I hope for your sake you are committed. Because if you fall off and leave the game for a long period and go back you can forget about using the old server you where on because everyone would have overtaken you and there’s no catching up unless your a whale, and as a result the rewards you get from PvP will be practically worthless so you will have to start on a entire new server from scratch and slog through all the “content” all over again (if you’ve had the misfortune of playing on other past servers) just to get back to a recognisable part of the game you remember stopping at. If your playing for the story and honestly that’s the better option imho then just stick to one account for all eternity, you won’t get as many rewards compared to a new PvP orientated servers but it’s still workable, you won’t catch up with anybody but that won’t matter anyway and you can enjoy the game for the game without the emphasis being on catchup and the latest meta as much. The overall story at the beginning is meh and quite frankly poorly written and voiced, but does improve with the recent winter act but not by miles. The games graphical appeal is charming and captivating, along with some of the music for certain areas, I’ll give it that, but I can’t give the game much more praise beyond that pretty much everything else is buried behind the usual gacha systems and all the boring tropes that come with that for a game of this type. (Hope I do not need to elaborate on that). I must also warn players that the devs for some misguided reason took it upon themselves to time lock last years new winter themed expansion. Every new area within the expansion could not be accessed due to a days waiting time which staggered from player to player. The reason for this was because the devs did not pace themselves better or innovate their content more effectively and because players where “playing the game” all be it too “quickly” they gated your progress to try and stretch your experience out as much as possible. And spoiler, the recommended formation is almost identical every time.
