Airside Digital Identity Reviews

Doesn’t work

phantogrammed on

United States

Unlike other users, I didn’t have an issue with this app reading my passport. Alaska was promoting this for passport verification and since I’ve had issues waiting in long lines to verify my docs, I figured I’d try this to see if it would help me skip to just the baggage check. Checking into my flight this morning, I still get the message I have to verify my docs at the Alaska kiosk, thus rendering this “verification” useless. Crappy of Alaska to promote a third party app obtaining access to sensitive info without it actually working for its intended use.

Not very helpful

Notthisagain2020 on

United States

Every time I go to use this app, it needs an update. Most likely when I am at an international location with less than quality data coverage. I loved the Mobile Passport, it worked great. Since you made Airside, it has been worthless to me.

Horrible app

Nathand8 on

United States

They make it so complicated to add multiple people. I’m trying to verify a child and a wife and this app does not have the ability to do that. It’s dumber than dumb and should be an app on a flip phone.

Horrible app. It’s not mobile passport

Roberto Alcalay on

United States

Don’t waste your time downloading and giving your info. This app does not work as the extinct mobile passport.

Poor usability and could not read chip

meme.addict on

United States

I have a brand new passport that was replaced only a few months ago. This app was unable to read the electronic chip so I was unable to use the app. It also had an annoying email verification process that went to spam and then could not be copied and pasted into the app. This app needs a UX design review and QA. also poor integration with the Alaska app. After you confirm a passport, it does not automatically share it with Alaska and even after sharing with Alaska it does not show that it is confirmed inside the Alaska app.

Can’t scan passport

AntonMolleda on

United States

App always crashes when trying to read the chip in my passport. It’s not a US one so maybe that’s the reason, but nevertheless it shouldn’t crash and close the app.

Doesn’t work

ARoss298 on

United States

I followed all the steps perfectly at least 72 hours in advance of my flight with Alaska Airlines, but it didn’t verify my passport. I travel all the time and never have passport issues, so I’m seeing this as an app issue.

Terrible

Csbnsd on

United States

About the worst app I’ve used for travel. Getting the passport scanned and chip read was a hassle. And then the code would allow me to move forward with the verification set up process. I hit link, uploaded it several times and nothing happened. I’m not sure if this is a scammer site looking for passport info, or whether this is legitimate but the process is not easy and I still can’t verify.

Non-Functional

Redox93 on

United States

Passport chip scanning doesn’t work at all on newest iPhone. You can’t even logout. Laughable this dev got a deal with Alaska and now all our lives are harder for it.

Does not work

Oliverthegreatest on

United States

International passports do not work with this app. They only tell you after you sign up and share all your private information. Does not seem very trustworthy. Can not recommend.
