We are forced to use this app by out service provider yet the bloody app has not worked since 18/11/2024! When will you be fixing the bloody problem? You don’t even deserve the 1 star rating! You deserve zero!
Since last update, the app just hangs when trying to log in. Not useful and thankfully haven’t had an emergency or I wouldn’t have enough time to get into the app
Can’t even get help by using this app when my life is in danger. Wow. Not user friendly
It would be useful to have a graphical display of the status of each sensor(open, closed, tamper…etc)
The app is more of an inconvenience than assistance. Seldom works and you have to constantly be checking if the alarm has been activated. Very
Aside from being able to arm and disarm remotely, this app really isn’t great. The buffering takes so long it is absolutely useless in an emergency situation (takes ages to get into the app, see the videos & alerts etc). I have double the internet speed required for the app, I have two WiFi boosters and it is still slow. I was promised garage door, electric fence and magnet lock connection to the app but none of these functions are possible. I’m very disappointed.
For context my wife and I own a business that uses ADC (Alarm.com) and a vacation rental that uses Ring. I did a lot of work myself so I have a pretty good understanding of both systems. The first and most important thing to be aware of is that you have to have an ADC (Alarm.com) subscription to use their equipment, so don’t buy anything unless you are prepared for an ongoing monthly expense. It isn’t like Ring where you can install everything and just go without professional monitoring. ADC definitely has better capabilities than Ring for businesses but for residential applications I would recommend Ring due to simplicity. The Access Control functionality in ADC is more robust than Ring as one example. You can have users at a corporate level that can be given access to all company locations or you can have users tied specifically to a single location. That said the interface for ADC is less intuitive than Ring. Honestly, pretty much anyone who is reasonably comfortable using a mobile phone can setup Ring. ADC could definitely use some usability enhancements. As a result, for ADC you need a little more technical aptitude for anything DIY…and for some items you will still have to contact the monitoring company to get their support to add devices. None of the self installed equipment is under warranty, but you would save money on equipment. I have also been very happy with my monitoring company since signing up and ADC has always had good support when my monitoring company has to contact them for help with an issue (which is rare). Update 2024-06-04 Still happy with ADC and would choose them again if I had to do it all over. A really nice feature add would be the ability to adjust the inside target temps based on outside temps. For example, if it is only 80 degrees outside then 72 inside might be too cold, but if it is 95 degrees outside then 72 might feel fine. Having the ability to fine tune the inside temp based on the outside temp would be really nice. 2025-01-04 Still very happy with ADC. Would be really nice to be able to automate scenes instead of just being able to trigger them manually. Hopefully that is coming soon.
When I get a notice that movement is detected on my phone and go to check the camera it says I need to troubleshoot because it is not available. When the doorbell is pushed it does not notify me on my phone. It is reliable about 70% Of the time to be able to go to the camera to see what the movement is.
