I have been having a problem the past few weeks, coincidentally the software was updated two weeks ago. Alarms.com says I have 5 windows open and several motion sensors active when the windows are closed and no one is home. Technician was at the house last week but did not solve the problem. They have tried resetting it multiple times. Either their update caused this or my system needs reprogramming . Either way, not happy with their support.
Not what I expected from ADT. This camera system and app is worse than Ring. Misses movement and activity all the time! To many lapses. No good.
Every year less options for my system. Lost the ability to do a check in with my panel’s camera. I guess they want me to buy a security camera for the system. Blah. UPDATE—Feature called “Peek-In” is back today. Don't know when it actually came back, but I called support at Alarm.com (the software end, not service company) and when I checked the iPad & iPhone apps while on the line I see both now have the Peek-In option available. The option was not available between ~March and early June (and perhaps later into June—I don’t remember when I last checked). My service people did not know about this feature so I don't know how it was resolved. BTW, YOUR “App Support” button on Apple App Store is not working. Clicking button initiates a zero download of “ contact_us.aspx”.
I love my alarm system. I feel very comfortable when I am home and away.
I’m trying to understand why my windows and door triggers/sensors are not recognizing when a door or window is opened and this “app” is useless. Also, will not let me connect with a real person because I’m “outside of business hours”. Why am I paying you monthly?!?!?!!!!!
The idiots who wrote this have no clue how Apple apps should work. Obviously they’re Android devs or offshore. I don’t even know where to begin. Obvious Apple guideline violations like overriding the user’s ability to turn down volume while viewing video are a good start. There’s so much wrong with it though that they really just need to start over.
