Aloud!, text to speech reader

When I first downloaded this app I would have given it five stars, now it gets less, I’d give it 3.5 if you could rate half stars. The app does everything it says it does and it reads out my files perfectly, my issue is with the voices- they used to be much better and on previous versions I had more voice choice. Now I am limited to three for my chosen dialect, all of which sound awful. I miss ‘Kate enhanced’- honestly I would pay for that voice.

Can you plz fix this new bug that came with the new iOS.

For the past few days there has been a bug in which some texts are re-spoken.

Not only it can highlight the the words whilst reading to you which is good when you don’t feel like reading novels and can copy and paste into this app! Although it’s a little slow when going through the words and highlighting them, it’s still good!

This app worked brilliantly until last update, now it read out anything, and no support to reach out to.

The open close save start stop edit buttons don’t work as expected on iPhone 8

I mean, it does what it says it does. It reads text. But the voice is very strange, a bit like the one used on the Anonymous videos - incredibly robotic and the change in tempo distorts the sounds. Aside from this the rhythm is totally odd and it pauses in the wrong place so that sentences become disjointed. It also pronounced melancholy wrong... if you need simple text read I think it works but I wouldn't suggest it for help learning a language or anything like that. It's just odd really.

Was a great app to start with but now I can't access anything on the app as it brings up an advert and when you hit the x to come out of the advert the app shuts down.... Why is this?

It's okay. I'm using it for journal articles and it sometimes mushes words together through which is totally useless when you want to listen to them. Sometimes when I open a pdf into the app and it won't let me play the article and therefore won't let me save it (as you have to press play in order to save) so I have to close the app and re open the pdf into it. When it works it's great. Best if you can read and listen at the same time as it occasionally doesn't make sense when it reads words with hyphens in them for example. For listening to journal articles while I'm in the car it works pretty well

Would like to see if it works but I can't figure out how to open PDFs or epubs in it.
