If you're a musician who likes to learn new songs and techniques by listening to the same piece of music over and over but wish that the music could be played a little slower, then you'll enjoy Amazing Slow Downer.
You can repeat any section of the music at full speed, slow it down or even speed it up by changing the speed between 25% (1/4 of original speed) and 200% (double speed) without changing the pitch!
Change the tuning or musical key? No problem, Amazing Slow Downer handles that as well.
Setup seamless loops by touching the "Set" buttons during playback.
Amazing Slow Downer is the ideal tool for any musician, transcriber or dancer wanting to improve their skills.
New - Support for streaming "Apple Music" audio!
Note: Some functions such as "Pitch change" and "Equalizer" are not available when playing "Apple Music" songs.
Please note: According to Spotify, third party apps will not any longer have access to streaming Spotify content in a way that works for slowing down / pitch change audio starting September 1, 2022. This will affect Amazing Slow Downer.
This means that you should NOT buy Amazing Slow Downer if playing Spotify content is your only use of the app.
This change does NOT affect any other type of audio content that Amazing Slow Downer can play back.

Amazing Slow Downer Reviews
Great app
I have definitely got my money's worth out of this already! I use this a lot both with Spotify and with CDs I've put on my tablet. Like with Garageband, the ability to start a piece slow and then build up speed is very useful to get me playing pieces at speed, and being able to loop sections is great for learning by ear. The support team was very quick and helpful when I had an issue. This one is now on my “most-used app” list!
Help! My music is not loading since the update
I use this app all the time in my music teaching and today out of the blue the app on my phone and iPad told me that the songs were failing to load and I couldn’t play a single one. I can see them but can’t play them! It’s such a great app and I would usually give it 5 stars but not today.....
Added voice memo import feature
Are you able to add a voice memo import feature to this app? Would make this app perfect!
Spot on
This is the best app for practicing with and even learning new pieces. It does everything you need including breaking up a piece into practice chunks. My 10 yr child was able to learn a piece way beyond his technical ability by using this app and chunking down and slowing until it became fluent. Extremely useful for backing track slowing etc
Expensive but the best(I bought them all)
This has by far the best slow-down algorithm I've heard.
Usable down to 25% of original speed, which sounds better than some apps at 80%.
The update added the one feature I needed.
Buy this now. Best musicians tool on the AppStore.
This app
Is so dope
Can't restore purchase
I've enjoyed the program for years. I needed to reinstall the slowdowner, so I installed the lite version and then tried to restore the full version. Which never restored, even after more than an hour of waiting and several attempts.
No Longer Compatible with Spotify
This was my go to app for a couple years learning new music, that is until it was no longer compatible Spotify. The only way to use this app now is to subscribe to Apple Music, which I will never do. Hopefully ASD can make amends with Spotify.
Cant access apple library
App doesn’t work. Supportive even after Spotify removal, paid for songs through apple, and now the app just doesn’t work at all.
Was once a great app...
The first knock on this app is the removal of support for Spotify songs. Sorry, but once something is offered, taking it away is not okay. Like if you feed birds at a feeder in your yard. When you stop, many birds die after becoming dependent on your food.
The second knock is that after the removal of Spotify, I loaded many songs into the app, and sometime between the last time I used it and now, all of my songs (and the organization I invested) have disappeared. I guess somebody decided to change the app and didn't allow for backward compatibility. Now, to get back to where I was, I will need to invest more time and effort just to get back to where I was.
Overall, it's a decent program with many fine features, but I feel reluctant to become dependent on it again. I have a Mac and will probably go back to using that....
