The AmpliFi app simplifies the process of connecting and managing all of your Amplifi Wi-Fi devices, including: Alien, HD, Gamer’s Edition, Instant, and Meshpoint products.
The AmpliFi app offers the simplest way to add, monitor, configure, and upgrade your network. You’ll be able to:
- View key diagnostic information, like a connected devices summary, upload/download activity, your IP address, and real-time network speed data.
- Create an in-home guest network for visiting family and friends, or give them remote access to your local network via the AmpliFi Teleport VPN app.
- Control your family’s screen time with the ability to pause connected devices.

AmpliFi WiFi FAQ
Is AmpliFi WiFi free?
Yes, AmpliFi WiFi is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is AmpliFi WiFi legit?
⚠️ The AmpliFi WiFi app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
Their so-called Advanced GUI says -> Disable if WiFi calling not working!
Based on my 3+ months stressful time trying to trouble-shoot their Alien router, I finally came up with a solution to prevent ALL my Apple gadgets, iPhone, iPad Pro, 2 x HomePods 2nd gen, 2 x HomePods mini, and many HomeKit smart devices, etc etc NOT to drop off my network!
And, that was to disable this dumb feature!
Everything magically started working 100%. Specially, my Stereo HomePods connected to ATV without every 30 minutes dropping one HomePod!
FWIW, my IPTV service still works without this mysterious feature which their developers thought it was a good idea to ship their routers with this option enabled!
No wonder people prefer eero! Because, it just works right out of the box!
Good job Ubiquiti. I really enjoy my new router 🙂
Latest router update killed speeds
Updated router, now I just use mobile data, speeds are so slow it takes a min to just start a YouTube video at 360p. How do I use older firmware?
Ok router, poor app
I can’t imagine this company actually hired real designers to build their app because it is very difficult to use if you are not in your 20s with perfect vision. The tiny light gray font used throughout much of the interface is nearly impossible to read, the icons, and the use of space throughout the app is inconsistent, and sometimes even ugly. It is a very poorly designed app.
I wish people and companies who made apps like this spent more time on useability rather than just style. At the very least, if this company just followed Apple‘s most basic design guidelines, this review wouldn’t be necessary.
Teleport integration
Do you advise that we remove the stand alone Teleport app now that the main app includes this feature?
Ruined
App update doesn’t allow me to monitor networks remotely, so now the app is useless for providing support to friends and family I’ve convinced to buy Ubiquiti products because of this feature.
Good hardware but app is lacking
The app has no dark mode and feedback about that has been ignored for years. Device sort and DHCP list names don't match so you will be editing names twice. Don't bother customizing device icons either as they will reset to default after a random app update.
Device list
Since the latest update, the devices list is not in alphabetical order as it always was. Can you explain the order and also give a way to sort the devices list… it just keep appearing I. Random order.
Previous comment/explanation from Developper is false, I see a 5ghz device right in the middle of a bunch of 2.4ghz… Talk to your QA and dev teams!
Shockingly Simple
Literally took seconds to set up my Amplifi Alien, a big contrast to the Google Nest. Speed is already double what I had before.
All was perfect until most recent update. Please fix!
