Great anchor alarm app that JUST WORKS! When dropping the anchor I set it using the relative location setting (being, in our case, 11 m away from the helm at whatever the boat’s heading is) and, depending on how much rode we’ve put out, we set an allowed distance of typically about 20m more than the length of rode. I normally set it on my iPhone which is usually close at hand but if we’re leaving the boat, I’ll also set it on my iPad which stays on the boat and that allows me to check the boat’s position and be notified if the anchor drags, as long as we have mobile phone or internet coverage. If we’re not in mobile range I will sometimes leave Starlink on so the remote facility works, if I am concerned about the anchor dragging.
