Henle Library Reviews

Total rubbish and completely useless…

Piano man '84 on

I’ve tried multiple times to get to the online store, and it just shows an infinite loading screen. So if I can’t buy any scores through the app, this app is completely useless.

Confirmation e-mail doesn’t arrive

When I try to purchase store credits the app says it has sent a confirmation email to my address. This email never arrives so I am unable to use the store. Very frustrating.

A fine app, but some problems.

Guys, you need to format the printed layout properly. The bars bunch up at the top of the page.

Absolutely great

I highly recommend this app for other musicians out there

Great experience for Henle

Love the dynamic spacing and the ability to change between different fingerings. Even better is the PDF export option that complements your current scoring app and actually ENCOURAGES you to use their scores in your favorite app like Forescore. I’ve given it 4 stars for now as I’m waiting for more of their music catalogue to be converted to the Henle app!

Amazing app for musicians

Good but can be better

I love the Henle edition for printed music. So I downloaded the app and bought a few scores to try it out. Good: music font, page background colour just like the printed version, easy to search and buy, can buy individual pieces rather than the whole book, can add multiple layers of notes with different font colours, can adjust line spacing. To improve: need more symbols for notes (especially to mark alternate phrasing and slurs), scores for violin and piano can only hide the smaller font (in this case the violin score) but can’t hide the piano score, cannot save background colour and line spacing settings (have to reset every time a piece is opened), Library is rather limited at the moment. I look forward to the improved version and extensive library expansion!

Keeps whiting out!

Frustrating. I can’t trust it. Ever. It just randomly whites out a page while I am playing or most of a page. I have to close the piece to get it back. If the music didn’t cost an arm and leg, I would not be using it! I

Totally Unpractical and Flawed

Just awful to use. The annotation tool is so awful that it is hard to understand how it came to light. I love Henle and I wanted to get this app so I could mark the score without destroying my paper edition. That function is basically so cumbersome that it is totally useless. Just wasted money buying credits for something that is unusable. What a wasted opportunity to create a beautiful app. Such a disappointment.

There’s been much improvement

Better than a pdf scan of the score and the new pdf upload feature is great. Plenty of features like bookmarking, easily switching from the solo part to the same part in the full score, and annotating.
