Does not let you proceed
I just uploaded the app. The opening page urges me to upload sheet music for 50 credits from a selection of pieces, none of which is of interest to me. However, there appears to be no way to get past this page. Extremely irritating! (I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro)
Great editions but the app could improve
It’s great to be able to have all of my Henle editions with me on my iPad. The quality of the music engraving, rendering, scholarship, as well as the ability to add (and remove) different layers of fingerings is great.
However I think the app seriously lacks two major features: Apple Pencil support and a more organized library. It’s very tedious to make annotations with Apple Pencil; somehow all strokes create separate layers of image of text. It’s so tedious to add fingerings that I find myself drag and dropping the ready-made text instead. I think this app could easily support Apple Pencil in a more native way to the platform.
For the library, all content is shown as a list of individual pieces; for example, purchasing the complete well tempered clavier ends up as 48 individual pieces instead of one collection. Some sort of collection view would find it easier to find pieces. There is search, and it functions well, but typing is still not so easy on iPads, especially when the iPad is on the piano stand. I would again suggest a native solution: a collection/book view similar to Apple Books would make the experience much easier in my opinion.
And one small thing: swiping fast makes the pages go by quickly and one might end up with a half page on the screen. It would be great to quantize this so that even a fast swipe turns just to the next page. This happens very often while playing as usually there is very little time to turn a page.
