i put in my password time time again,
I can’t connect my Freebuds 3. There’s nothing wrong with my earbuds so why would I replace them?
Great functionality with my Freebuds - fit test, custom Eq, additions ANc settings. You can easily restrict the app to only give it access to Bluetooth (to pair your earbuds), and it works fully. You do need to login to your Huawei account, but that par for the course at this point.
HiLink is better
I’ve really given up with this. So unreliable at connecting with my device to make setting changes. Just awful.
Have been using a personal wifi device from Huawei for sometime. It's been a perfect companion for me while I travel, and have had very little problems using it in different countries. Recently, there has been an update to the app. This stopped my devices connecting and getting access to the internet. To connect to the device, I now have to register an account with Huawei. To register, I must agree to give huawei access to photos, contacts and personal data before I can connect to my device. Why? Why do you need access to my personal contacts? Why do you need access to my photos? Why?
I appreciate the addition of volume adjustment which is a vital feature that was surprisingly missing. Now needs more sound profiles and the option to manually adjust frequency response in the app. Keep up the improvements.
So after update this app don’t wanna connect to my pro2 headphones… literally starting do it and when it’s in 13% I getting message that connection failed
I only downloaded this app because it’s the only way I can update the firmware for my Freebuds I don’t think I’ve ever had another app claim it NEEDED so many permissions, and not give ANY option to decline. First it’s creating a log-in, fine, but then you can’t go any further unless you allow the app access to all your messages, contacts, internet, storage, photos…… Take the messages for example - it says it ‘needs’ this permission “to obtain verification codes automatically”… 1. No it doesn’t, iPhone has had that functionality for ages now. And 2. I don’t care. I’d rather input it manually than give an app unnecessarily deep access. But you literally cannot decline - the options are ‘agree’ or ‘cancel’. I don’t think I’d give an app from a company I really trusted that much access, let alone Huawei - who have past form for misleading customers and security flaws, as well as gathering surveillance and personal information (and that’s just what’s been proven - the other allegations are numerous). Anyone considering downloading this, really really think twice about whether you want to give this company access to every message you’ve sent and photo you’ve taken, and all your personal data.
I have added my freebuds SE 2 device multiple times but it removes the devices automatically after couple of hours. Yes Yes, My app is up to date I would not recommend it anymore
