Love the Asi air So easy to use and makes Astro so much more compact. Would like to see support for other brands of Astro cameras. I used SVbony cams but have to now use an old dslr for now. Fingers crossed for the future. Would highly recommend this product. The app ui is great easy to navigate Star map i great, Needs a good few more targets to be added but I am sure that will come in time Great work.

I can’t remember now how complicated everything was before ASI air. It’s probably one of the best designed apps out there.

I have been using beta versions of the v2.0 release for a couple of months and I really like it! All the little issues I had with the previous versions seem to have been addressed, such as intermittent guiding failures, EAF auto zoom would gradually deteriorate over a plan session or when changing target and the old release would often fail to recognise USB connected cameras (main or guide camera) and the EAF. There are a raft of new and improved functionality such as ability to plan and create mosaic images in the much improved sky atlas, cleanup of user interface leaving more screen space for the image, guiding calibration also seems to work much better than in the 1.9.x release. I have not tested the Wi-Fi performance, but my wired Ethernet connection has been excellent with this release. Excellent work by the entire ZWO team!

Great app For those with connection issues with eq6-r pro with newer chipsets you have to load a special operating system to device (available from ZWO,ask for it,telling them the issue they’ll send you link to it)then get win32disk imager and load it to sd card then install card and switch on

The ASIAIR Pro is an incredible piece of kit worth every penny. The app has a ton of features and has delighted me so far. My only asks are: 1. Improve the file name customisation further. For instance, allow specification of custom fields (eg. Session for pix insight) and expose the ability to include date only, not date time. 2. I’ve never been able to get the flat auto exposure to work. It just fails every time with a very generic error that I can’t figure out how to resolve. Please help improve this at least by giving a better error.

I have owned and used this now for several months with both my William Optics Z61 mounted on AZ-GTI and my Meade SCT 8 inch on my Sky Watcher EQ6R Pro, coupled with numerous ZWO cameras and in the early days Nikon DSLR’s. Literally a game changer and so easy to use - keep up the good work.

Why aren’t you adding Wedge HD PRO for Celestron cpc EdgeHD? Requested 6 months and still keeping eye on every update.

This use to be a great app and device but since 1.5.x the guiding is quite frankly appalling if not crazy e.g. randomly slewing off target at random intervals so you have no choice but to stop guiding, bin the sub that is ruined and then set everything back up again. This makes an absolute mockery of using autorun as you need to watch every single sub in case the guiding decides to do random slewing of the mount at speed. I just can’t recommend this device anymore. I wouldn’t mind but this is a £300 device and feels like alpha quality software - c’mon guys fix this!

I LOVE my ASIAir Pro, and the accompanying app is great. It has all the features you need to run and automate your acquisition, and ZWO are doing a fantastic job of adding fantastic new features regularly. They’re also VERY responsive to feedback, a couple of my suggestions for additional features have been added in the update following my suggestion. This app makes my nights capturing images a joy compared to what it used to be when struggling to learn and use multiple apps/programs. This is all with the caveat that you need to be well within the ZWO ecosystem for full functionality - but that’s really not a problem with me because ZWO make fantastic and affordable hardware. This is similar to why I love apple products, they work so well together!

This is a great little app for a great little piece of kit. Just needs framing and sequencing and it will be perfect. Well done developers you’re amazing!
