Scam app, bad app

I was looking for an audiobooks app to listen to while doing my exercises. This is much better than I expected, and the fee is reasonable. Highly recommend!

So much better than I expected from the amount of downloads this app has! It had all three books I was looking for, I got started with The Night Circus, give it a try!

I am listening to Dune book 1. I have time using this app. - Easy to use - Convenience forward and backward - great variety of book Overall i am very happy with the app and the service.

I found the website through google while looking for a specific audiobook, and saw a pop up on the site that advertised a free trial and the first book for free or something similar. So I went to the App Store to see if they had an app, they do, so I downloaded it and went to sign up. In the app there was no free trial option, it immediately prompted me to pay for full membership. So I assumed the app was just a bit glitchy or something, went back to the site and signed up for free. However, neither the website or the app will allow me to download any books and after I closed the website it will no longer load in my browser at all so I can’t navigate back to the pop ad at all to see if I misread it or something.

I do not recommend this app! I’d give 0 stars if I could! The app shuts down every time my phone locks. Also, they say you can keep the books you pay for after you cancel; that’s a lie. I bought and downloaded a book before I cancelled my membership but it says I have to upgrade to listen to it. Try Audible or a different app if you want a decent audiobook service. This is a ripoff!

I have listened to 9 of the Wheel of Time books on this app (I bought a bunch at once) so I’m a bit of an expert in how this thing could be better. The app will randomly start playing a book that I’ve already completed while I’m listening to another book. It will routinely lose my place in my active book and start over from the beginning leaving me to figure out where it left off. It will play on my Bluetooth devices (especially my car) without even being an active app, it just plays in the background. It also just plays in the background pretty often so I will go to listen to my book and find it several chapters past where I left off. Many books don’t have chapters or tracks so you just have to know about what hour/minute you’re on…. you may say “use bookmarks”…well those delete themselves and sometimes the app will get confused and tell me I have 2 automatic booksmarks hours apart from each other. If I could keep my books and move them to another app I would. Also, if you cancel your subscription to catch up on your books you can’t listen to your purchased books (feels like stealing). Good selection of books is all I can say this app has.
