Intentional movement style

I’m really loving Lia Bartha’s take on Pilates. Even with the heavier weighted style classes she holds, you develop a deep core strength that feels so much more intentional than typically HITT fitness or Barre Fitness. She challenges you in a slow and intentional way so you pay attention to intrinsic muscles which often get forgotten. You do not have to have dance or prior Pilates experience to begin her classes, BUT if you do happen to come from a dance background, you will see the difference in her style.

Lia’s workouts are fresh and never boring. In fact, I look forward to working out 6 days a week with her, knowing that I keep getting stronger and feeling better about my body. Going through menopause takes a while to adjust to and understand one’s body through this change. Lia’s method works for menopausal bodies, because my body feels great and I haven’t felt this good in a really long time. Thank you for the great workouts, Lia! I’m a huge fan!

So happy I found BtheMethod...I have scoliosis and have been doing Pilates style workouts since I was a kid. I'm almost 50 and I've never had the fundamentals and proper body positioning explained better than this app. It helps me feel more balanced in my whole body. My lower back pain has improved and I feel stronger in my core. Love these workouts!

The app is great. Well laid out and super easy to use. I love how there are categories so it’s easier to find a class that fits your needs. But I’ve recently gotten into using the weekly plans and that is the best! Love Lia’s classes, they are the best. Never boring!

I am so happy that I started B the method in September last year. I have had knee surgery and return my ACL and the method is perfect for me, I’m building strength with out aggravating my injury. While some workouts may be challenging and intense i always feel rejuvenated afterwards!

The method is slow and deliberate. Lia takes the user through specific movements that are focused on form and this targets the muscle. While you may be surprised or frustrated, you will quickly find that your muscles are being worked. The user needs a mindset shift away from thinking that workouts are supposed to be painful and punishing. Her gentle communication align with the style of the workout. Her weekly schedule sent out on Sundays, with 2 lives during the week, allow you to curate your workouts. She is also certified and trained in Pilates so she walks the talk. Highly recommended.
