Roles non random, especially if trying to get in. I only play live players so the non random rolls appear to be as likely to help (or hurt) me as my opponent. Doubling cube doubles from 1 point, does not doubles bet so makes it pretty meaningless not to take it. Since with experienced players the skill is in using the cube it takes that element out unless you just pretend it matters. Too easy to amass points. Even the worst players making the most boneheaded moves (and losing) seem to amass as many points as I have. I do like the graphics and pretty intuitive play.
How can you call these games fair? When the only roll that could change the game comes up oftentimes. I keep trying but also keep getting frustrated.
Idiot developer
the ad experience of ‘Woodoku’ is frustrating! I have to shut down my iPad to get rid of the ad every single time it pops up. Surely it’s been reported by others? I love this app. Please, require the advertiser to add an eXit on the ad. Thank you! UPDATE: I am deleting this app due to this one ad. It’s ridiculous to have to shut down my iPad to continue playing each time the WOODOKU ad plays.
Many of the dice rolls favor the opponent no matter what the scenario is. Example: multiple doubles rolled by the opponent during the game, or statistically unlikely rolls….I have played backgammon for 40+ years and I have NEVER seen the type of dice rolls like in this cheating game.
The game is great. The commercials between games—games that you can’t stop—are so irritating I just deleted the game from my iPad.
Easy to use
My opponent won the initial roll 90% of the time. I call out the dice my opponent needed, and he got it 90% of the time (I left myself open purposely, to test this and I was correct). I roll to get back into play with my opponent only having 1 or 2 slots covered , and would roll dbls of a slot they had covered or my roll would match their covered slots for 3, 4, sometimes 5 rolls. ...They cheat like Trumplicans.
Great game for playing online. But latest version has a bug that ends the connection to your opponent when someone can’t roll because the home board is blocked and they can’t bear off. If I have my home board blocked and opponent can’t bear off, after I have opened the home board and they can roll, they never roll again and I win by timeout. And whenever opponent blocks their home board and I cannot roll, after opponent rolls once and if I still cannot bear off, they never roll again and I win by timeout.
