its different and so much better

i have tried many mental health apps but i promise being is where my search ends. i wasn’t sure. i thought this is going to be yet another app i download and try but as soon as i signed in and i realized its different. issues are designed to be relatable to what i am going through and solutions are so very personalized for me — as if the maker made this app specifically for me

I love this app for my personalized mental health journey.

There are so many things I like about Being. I love how easy it is to customise your mental health concerns in forms of discomforts rather than using an actual scientific term for it all. It gives the feeling of a more personalised approach to therapy rather than just a generic solution. I love how warm and easy on the eyes the UI and colours are in the app, and I love the little animations that pop up. The mini therapies have helped me a lot in the last few months dealing with homesickness, extreme anxiety and discomfort and loneliness. Thank you, Being, you let me just be :) This is a great concept and a great app. I’ve recommended it to a couple of friends already.

Ive been using this app for years and it has gotten me through so much, what is with this ridiculous update? And the awful app icon? I am so disappointed

Your 1 star rates are skyrocketing.

Was here when the app wasn’t known much, you didn’t have to pay, had wonderful things like music and the therapies ofc. But for some reason they changed everything, now you have to pay, and you are on a waitlist… ridiculous honestly. And now on top of everything you need a discord and some people just don’t have access to that or just DONT want it. Honestly, even the entire app’s design downgraded, it went from a calm and plain not overwhelming design to constant swirls and colors and off outing design that is actually anxiety inducing to many people I know. I would love recommending this app to many of my family and friends but now will no longer be downloading it again, and will move on to other, better apps. If y’all want a better app I suggest flinch, and a few others that are free and very calm in design and don’t have to pay. Really grateful for how the app Used to be, but goodbye to this new and “Improved” update. Also the 1 star rating went crazy after the update, this app screams about how much it listens to its users but unfortunately is losing many of them. I was also one of the people who suggested added “Voice” to the app because it would help a lot of people. Glad they listened for that. But everything else was a huge downgrade.

this mental health app is doing something different

there’re tons of mental health apps out there. i’ve personally subscribed and used a lot of them. but the way this app thinks about issues. actually, i should say the way this app thinks about me. what i feel, what i think, and what bothers me. and then, gives me beautifully designed bite-sized therapies to help navigate these feelings, these thoughts, and these situations. whatever it may be. its incredibly innovative. yet its so simple. the best part? if they do not have a mini-therapy already — i can request one or two or more for my issues. i wonder why not many people know about it. this is my go to app or should i say go to therapist whenever and for what so ever

Depth and Love

This app allows you to plumb those hidden things that make you feel the way you do and gives you practical tools on how to move past them. The creators of the therapies and the mental health friends are loving, kind and know how to help you uncover the True You. Work honestly at it and watch yourself blossom!

Buggy, poorly designed, unhelpful. Don’t waste your time.

Caedeling on

The app feels buggy and unpolished. It overloads you with information that isn’t relevant to your situation. Plus, the sound can’t be disabled which is not a sensory-friendly experience. It’s not clear about the mental health friend option. Most importantly, the app sent me to a third party site to pay for a subscription. This seems SUPER scammy.

Datamining and Unlicensed Mental Health “Friends”

Sux2YourAssMar on

App says it’s here to help, but right off the bat it takes your contact info and diagnostics data without your permission. I open it up to get help for feeling stressed and it starts playing music with no way to turn it off, after telling me firmly to just plug in my headphones. What if your users aren’t in a place where they can listen to their headphones or broadcast loud music, like I ended up doing. The part of the app about stress was stressfully very long, with an overwhelming amount of information about problems I didn’t even think I had, but now I’m not sure, maybe I do need help because nobody likes me because I’m unattractive??? Maybe suggesting that there is something wrong with people that choose not to date during a pandemic is fine and I should read the section called “I feel scared to date again???” I was interested in the “talk to a mental health friend” feature, but it has wait times to access, and now I’m wondering, since the app warns users that you shouldn’t rely on it for true crises, if the people that pretend to be your friend are fully qualified/licensed mental health professionals, and if they are paid properly for their mental health guidance, as there is a huge price difference between this app and apps like Betterhelp that openly advertise their guidance as being given by licensed mental health practitioners. Hmmm. I wonder who they hire here and what those people tell other people about me and my mental health and the data that they take from my phone, hmmm…

Scam

I deleted my entire account and the app still charged my card 30 dollars. Scam.

Been using this app for a while and I really like the music and the quotes. Lifts my mood up. But since the update I haven’t been able to log in and really need that music rn. Help?
