Description
BimmerLink is the direct link to your BMW or MINI. Using one of the supported OBD adapters, you can read trouble codes or display sensor values in realtime, check the current state of the DPF in your car or register a new battery after replacement. BimmerLink even allows you to remotely control the exhaust flap or mute the Active Sound Design in your car.
READ AND CLEAR TROUBLE CODES
Diagnose your car as would otherwise be possible only by your Service Partner. In contrast to generic OBD apps that read emission related errors only, BimmerLink allows you to read and clear trouble codes from ALL control units in your car.
DISPLAY REALTIME SENSOR VALUES
BimmerLink provides a big selection of values like oil temperature or boost pressure. Keep an eye on all the important parameters of your car with a personalized dashboard.
EXHAUST FLAP REMOTE CONTROL*
Take control over the exhaust flap in your car and decide yourself, whether it should be closed or open.
ACTIVE SOUND DESIGN**
If you do not like the artificial engine sound generated in your car, just mute the Active Sound Design with BimmerLink.
SOUND TUNING***
The “Sound Tuning” option allows you to disable the “exhaust burble“ in cars equipped with the S55 engine (M2 Competition, M3, M4).
DPF REGENERATION****
BimmerLink allows you to check the current state of the diesel particulate filter in your car. Find out when the last regeneration took place or how much ash has accumulated in the filter and start a regeneration with the touch of a button.
CARPLAY ADD-ON*****
Enhance your driving experience with the CarPlay add-on for BimmerLink. Access your sensor values on your car's display for improved vehicle monitoring, all integrated seamlessly with CarPlay for ease of use.
BATTERY REGISTRATION
If you want to replace the battery in your car, this has to be registered in the engine control unit and BimmerLink allows you to do this yourself now.
PARKING BRAKE SERVICE MODE
BimmerLink allows you to activate the service mode for the electromechanical parking brake.
SERVICE RESET
Reset the service display in your car after carrying out maintenance work like a brake pad replacement or an engine oil change.
RESET SHORT CIRCUIT LOCKS
Unlock lamp outputs that were disabled due to a short circuit.
TRANSMISSION ADAPTATION VALUES
Check the adaptation values of the ZF 8HP automatic transmission in your vehicle.

Not worth the money for all the hype.
Had this a couple of years now. Wasn’t that impressed with it when I purchased it. Constantly crashing and also reverting previous coding’s back to original. Which then makes you go all the way back through doing them again. Wouldn’t read certain light modules when I first had the app. So gave up on it until this week. Car has said it needs a gearbox service “automatic” been told today the app can not reset the service light. !!! So looks like I’m going to have to pay local indie shop to reset it. Wish I had gone down the bimmergeeks road to start with. Please look at alternative software before committing to purchasing this half thrown together app. Not much use to home enthusiasts when it can not carry out simple service requests.

Not sure what update caused this, but identifying ecu’s on vehicles is now dreadfully slow Even if you have scanned a car once, the app does not remember very well

Not enough service
DPF regen
DPF regeneration tab on my 2016 f11 semi works, screen freezes asking for a request giving no live data but once I’ve clicked off and back on it says it’s happened.
Don’t work
Don’t work anymore after upgraded the app. I try to message to support centre but no one come back to me :( the new version don’t work to me and I can’t do down update
Just purchased for my mini
Was looking for a scanner for my new to me mini that’s flagging up a DPF light, was recommended this one and have to say it’s absolutely worth the money, have managed to isolate what the problem is so it’s paid for itself already. It has a great interface and gives a lot of readings from various areas around the car. This is a must have for your bmw or mini if you are that way inclined. Recommended
A must have app for BMW owners
A must have app for any BMW owner. Would be nice to see Car Play support so I don’t need to rely on phone being mounted on track days. That would complete the app as a whole package.
Brilliant
Needed to clear my srs /airbag fault. Sorted it in about 5 minutes! No more airbag errors on my I drive so I’m well happy ! 5/5 for me !
