Love this app!

So easy to use and lovely interface and interactions. I love that you can name the birds who frequently visit and save little postcards - would be nice to easily share them outside the App too 😌

Enjoying bird buddy

Easy to set up. Took a couple of days for birds to feed , now they are feeding regular and getting great photos and videos of them

Excellent smart bird feeder app

Bird buddy has been one of the best Kickstarter experiences, their attention to detail and continued listening to feedback and refining their product has been excellent. I am not so keen on the appearance of yet another subscription model for “premium” features, but I can understand the need to have a recurring revenue stream to keep the service running. I would have preferred to be told that up front, maybe say “Includes 2 years of free pro subscription” and then we’d all know a subscription was coming when we bought into it. Other than that, it seems to work really well, the AI is not perfect, but it gets a good 70% right in my garden. I look forward to seeing their future changes and to the release of the hummingbird feeder.

Best Bird Buddy Ever

I’m so glad my son bought this little window to my garden for me. Get up close and personal with your feathered friends, the excitement of who’s next is addictive for all the family.

A lovely idea, but squirrels think so too!

Well done for creating this bird-feeder. Now, can you please invent a facility that squirts a tiny spray of water at squirrels? I’m (partly😉) joking, but I have a long video of one feasting even when the feeder was in a hanging basket. How on earth…?

The App lets Birdbuddy down

The service itself is a great idea, the device really nicely done, but the App is just terrible. Far to complicated. If they were to make it simpler and easier to organise and delete what can quickly become a barrage of videos and photos of the same birds. May dad who i got this for has simply given up looking at the scary app.

Some initial set-up problems

Bought for me as a Christmas present I was initially disappointed as I had problems setting up the feeder and connecting to wifi. However, after help from Birdbuddy Support, now up and running and thoroughly loving it. Shame I only seem get three different species of visitors, apart from the unwanted ones, but still enjoying the feeder.

Works very well but has one flaw.

Seems great at identifying the birds although the interface seems a bit ‘clunky’. Just doesn’t feel easy flow. Biggest issue is that it doesn’t re-orientate itself when my iPad is sideways with the keyboard on it. I have to remove the keyboard to view so it’s not a “pop by and check” app.
