BP Connect Reviews

It’s just okay

Ag13469 on

It’s a great way to connect but it’s not very user friendly from the worker pov. It would be so much more helpful if messages sent as a continuous feed from the child and I didn’t have to type a subject every single time to send a quick message to a parent about what’s going on. Sometimes the subject line could be startling like sick, injury, etc. and I would rather them know their kid is okay first. And it makes sending messages take so much longer. I like the ability to track progress as the student grows and develops through the school though. It would also be easier to let them know which teacher the message is coming from instead of having to sign the message every time. It’s just very formal and in a field where building relationships is so important it feels impersonal.

No photo swipe option in albums?

ChiLLSaan on

United States

How about adding a option to Swipe through the photo album. Instead you have to exit each photo and select the next one to view it. This should be standard from the first release. Also all the notifications just spam at once not on time. For photos or messages.

Devs - please consider this feature

Add trends/charts. Parents may want to see if diapers, ounces in bottles, nap times, etc. are trending in any one direction. Kids spend so much of their day away from us its harder to see when they are getting ready to drop a nap or need more ounces. it would be good to see the timing on those things especially for infants when it’s more open ended. Also side note- yes your app is SUPER buggy. Hire more QAs, train then better, pay them more (to attract better talent) - something! You could prob crowdsource bugs from parents cause we use the app all day

Great way to stay connected

I always have peace of mind when my child is at Daycare thanks to this app

Unintuitive and clunky

GCC125 on

United States

The UI is confusing and the UX doesn’t make sense. You have to click around to find what you’re looking for. It’s not very thoughtfully designed and seems like they just add things on at will without really thinking it through. It freezes all the time and I’ll receive notifications for things, but when I go to the app, nothing is there.

App constantly freezing

Love the functionality but the app itself is constantly freezing on both my phone and my husband’s phone.

I like what it does, terrible UI

alejo91 on

I’m not sure how the UI in this app made it past QA. It’s just terrible, open a picture and good luck trying to X out of it, you can’t. A lot of times the navigation is so broken that you have to return back to home and start over. A lot of times I just end up quitting the entire app just to go back to view the daily report/open report. As a programmer I suggest go read the iOS Human Interface guidelines and rework the UI. Seeing that the owners come from Ivy League schools I thought this would be engineered better. Again, love the app and what it does, but the UI needs a ton of work.

Terrible- do not get!!

dakmari on

This app is absolutely terrible! I would not recommend this to any childcare center. It is not user friendly at all and it crashes for our entire school basically every week. We just switched over to this app from a different app called Tadpoles and it was the worst decision that our schools have ever made. The entire platform is hard to navigate and takes so long to enter simple information. All of the feedback we have gotten from our parents has been very negative as well.

Worst UI I have experienced in a long time

DBaletsa on

Our daycare just transitioned to this app and I have to say this app is the worst user interface experience I have had in a long time. It’s almost as if it is in incomplete product. Not only are you limited in how you can choose to view things, certain functionality just doesn’t exist. For example, you are limited to viewing any photos in the app in a social media-esque feed where you have to view them one post at a time. The only way to view your photos in a more convenient way such as a tiled format is to add them to an album. But wait, you better make darn sure you don’t add the wrong photo to an album or create an album by mistake because there is absolutely no functionality to remove a photo or album from the app. On the desktop app albums don’t even appear to exist although you can still add photos to them on there. Add to this semi responsive buttons and buttons that are positioned in awkward places causing mis clicks and you’ve got yourself a train wreck of an app that you don’t want to even bother using. I hate that our daycare decided to go with this app. I hope it was a huge cost savings to alternatives like tadpoles because this is garbage by comparison. Even if this is a brand new app and you could give it some leeway for missing features, that still cannot defend the horrible UI design that makes it a nightmare to use. If you are the owner of a daycare considering this app right now, take it from a parent, stay far far away from this one.

Happy mom

It’s so nice to see what my child is learning and eating each day. I will cherish the photos posted forever.
