Received my first unit. Not cheap. Ant worked for about 20 minutes. Did not even have time to finish setup. Emailed support. And they sent me a new one , with return fedex postage to return the defective one. Got new one installed. And its working GREAT. I have a dozen home automation integration and all working 100 %. Hue, ring, wemo, sonos, alexa. Ect ect. Love it. Will bug more in the near future.
My experience has not been pleasant. I received a defective controller at first waited 3 weeks for another then trouble started with the switches. Lights flickered on and off the dimming is not great. So removed everything except the controller and put real dimmers instead. I would give them another year.
I installed a 2 switch plate today with a brilliant switch and it wasn’t easy. The wiring could not have been simpler with the original rocker switches; three wires to each one. Wiring it to the brilliant switch required an hour of trial and error. Once I had it working, the software was also very confusing. The switch plate and the app seemed to work in opposition to each other, and it kept on getting my two lights mixed up... I had to rename them several times. Now only one light is controllable, the other seems to have broken. When they both worked, one flickered and the other halogen light made a noisy hum. I’ll be tinkering with this again tomorrow... for 600 dollars I would have expected a much more seamless process.
I bought a 3 switch unit which was faulty upon receipt. They made me hook it up 4 times over troubleshooting steps and then made me pay the return freight! Terrible service and support.
I’ve bought 2 four gang switches and 1 three gang switch because I was told from the customer care that it would work with Apple HomeKit via a software update, it also states on the web site that it is. I’ve been waiting on that update since I got them 1year ago. Besides that they are always being updated with new features but no HomeKit.
The units look great on my wall and have a wow factor with everyone that’s seen them but for such a high price of the switch, lacks a lot of features that could easily be implemented! Also no call support only email and in app chat which is annoying if you’re trying to solve something in app at the same time as chatting with support
I from Canada, and I have been looking for something like this for a long time, to be able to control many devices from one place. WOW, and they keep updating the unit, so it just keep getting better. All I can say is, this thing is brilliant, no pun intended. Thanks Brilliant for making this great device, and looking forward to receiving future updates.
