I bought bytesim esims for 2 phones for a trip to Los Angeles and I couldn’t get them to activate. Their support through Whatsapp did say that they’d send a refund in a few days. The first time I tried to activate my esims was before leaving on my trip and the Bytesim support wasn’t available as they’re on Hong Kong and I guess timezone reasons mattered in that case. I tried many things to get this to activate including rebooting my phone. I tried it mainly on my iphone 13 Pro Max and often when trying to activate the app would simply crash. Other times, I was met with a blank screen. On my wife’s iPhone Xs Max she’d get an http 404 error message when trying to activate. I’m not sure why this is in the app store, seems entirely unusable.
Not the expected provider
I used this in Vietnam, rather than Airalo, because the provider was supposed to be Viettel, which has the best coverage in Vietnam. Turns out they are not using Viettel, but some Chinese intermediary and the service is unusable, like 1 bar in the middle of Ho Chi Minh
