Another corporation forcing their upgrades on you
After paying for use for a long time, and using little, o changed my card info and then the app needed an update, after update the a;p forced me, or tricked me into a differnt subscription, $33pm v $7.50 it would not let me out of the trap of upgrading and I needed to send photos to an abc television show about me done by a famous photographic journalist, I can’t access images and can’t get into my account because some geek decided to railroad the update path to upgrade in an evil twist. Guys, make it a different version. Let me make a choice via an email ad, etc, don’t force it one me. Evil begins by forcing your will on another. As is the case in modern life, a program or algorithm does the same job. ‘I’m sorry Dave, but yiu can’t come in” capture one has achieved dystopia, in on search for the ultimate generic client base, with more money than brains. Get real capture one. You have lost a customer.
It’s ok
Import took a long time to read photos on my card. No Fujifilm simulations even though I shoot raw. At this stage I won’t be keeping the app on my iPad.
Halfway there
Slower to load photos on my iPad Pro than the other app I have. Lovely job of photos at low iso but the noise reduction is weird on higher iso photos and doesn’t seem to work well for me. The styles I have on desktop transferred well and are easier to use stacking well on top of each other than the other editing app I have. I don’t like that there is no option to flag favourites as I prefer this to star option. There is no folder that I can see for edited versus unedited which is very useful and most of all I dislike that there is no option on the main page to display just the edited version instead of the greyed out original on top of the edit which looks strange when you have charged orientation. Needs some more advanced options. Lastly why no option to purchase outright. Cancelled my subscription already simply not good enough to keep an ongoing subscription maybe next year.
Rip off
Way to expensive. As a photographer that has spent thousands of dollars on your software over the years I expect that an extension to this software to another format cost would be nominal or free. Will consider moving to Lightroom?
More subscription nonsense
Unable to be used unless you have a subscription. Capture One started out as the opposite of Adobe, now they have just become a more expensive version of it. A real shame.
Create concept / needs a bit more work
The concept, easiness, everything is great, but exporting over 1000 shots from a shoot is a nightmare as it always misses images, fails, doesn’t process, this is a huge issue
Way to expensive!
It’s an OK app but the price just kills it. There are good options that are way cheaper. Unrelated, but DaVinci Resolve is a more complex program for colouring and editing video in a professional market and has a one-off payment with no subscription. I hate subscription based programs, and hate them even more when they cost way more than they should and I feel like I’ve been taken advantage of because I opted into a particular eco system. Very disappointed.
Not a professional product worthy of the price.
Experience frequent crashes when tethering to Fuji gfx. A lot more development needs to occur before this is worth paying for as a subscription service. I would happily take minimal editing options in exchange for stable tethering and live view options.
OK, best if you have the parent app on your Mac
This would be quite a good adjunct to a Mac app but unfortunately is way too expensive for what is a fairly basic editor on a mobile device.
Definitely try before buying.
Rip off
This is wildly expensive compared to Lightroom for questionable benefits. Even worse, the dreaded ‘subscription’ price and no cloud features. Run a mile!!!
