We love index cards. We use them a lot.
They are a versatile and surprisingly powerful tool for all kinds of tasks. From brainstorming to storyboards, to planning entire projects, they have a place in your workflow.
Cardflow captures the ease and flexibility of paper index cards and brings that experience to the iPad.
Rather than impose a rigid structure up front, Cardflow allows you to lay things out however you like, and organize them in the way that makes sense to you.
Jot down ideas or sketch diagrams on cards and arrange them on a large board. Write and draw using the buttery smooth Inkflow vector ink system, or type in a variety of fonts. You can even snap photos of actual cards to use as a background.
Turbocharge your workflow today! Whether you are drafting story boards for a movie, laying out the plot and characters for your novel, or learning a new language, Cardflow has a place in your toolbox. Have all the fun of using index cards, without the forest-pulping guilt of paper.

Cardflow FAQ
Is Cardflow free?
Yes, Cardflow is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Cardflow legit?
🤔 The Cardflow app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I find the Pro kit extremely useful for me, it functions quite reliably!
I firmly suggest improving the Pencil responsiveness - since as opposed to other hand-writing apps I use, here the symbols I write have some ’shivering’ -which makes the sentences look less as if it would look like on a plain paper.
Another fantastic forest saving app from Qrayon
When you are an old age ADHD, one of the things that bothers you is the amount of paper you use to organize your thoughts.
After trying tons of notebook apps I found Noteflow+ and instantly my desk got cleared and my paper notebooks were gone.
Cardflow gives you an infinite board to play with, create handwritten cards in seconds, rewrite arrange and link latter , kind of an Agile development point of view.
That was the thing that won over MindMeister.
Tons of clever features, lots of quality import/export tools.
Thanks Qrayon
The best thinking cards application
I've tried many similar apps and in my opinion this is the best one. Its advantages are: many different card sets can be created and not just one, excellent user interface, flexibility in card design.
The perfect note card app
Index cards are, in my opinion, the perfect note system for people. They are what I would consider RAM. Index cards hold bits of information that we gathered throughout the day. Index cards allow us to sort and we can arrange this data on a daily basis. The issue with most note taking apps lack the ability to quickly sort and rearrange notes. This app fixes it. It perfectly simulates having index cards. I love that allows the user to link cards together. And also organizes them with a few gestures. This is a wonderful addition to my work flow.
Still Around
My first computer was an 80286 running MS DOS. My favorite program was called Card File. It was very similar to this one. This has everything needed to keep tabs on everything in your personal life.
Great product but speech to text does not work
Love the product, but when doing storyboarding, I use speech to text exclusively, but does not work on your product.
Best of the bunch
I’ve tried most of the note taking apps. For me, most are too bloated with extras that get in the way. This feels just right.
This app is perfect for me. I don’t draw much but the board layout, index cards and text notes are fantastic!
Crashes way too often to cost this much
I like this app because there really isn’t another handwritten online flash card app and i prefer to have everything online. However, it crashes pretty often, at least 3 times every time I use it. It usually only deletes a few things but it’s annoying to have to redo it for an app I paid $15 for.
Great Resource - Crashes A lot
I love this app. My only complaint is that it crashes frequently and whenever it crashes it does not save what I just wrote.
Absolutely No Customer Support
Interesting App but God help you if you have a problem. A giant Cardflow+ file I had been working on for weeks got corrupted. When I look at the file, I can see the data is all there, 170 cards, but I can’t view them. 10 minutes of support would probably solve the whole problem, but there isn’t any. Not even a user’s group where one might find a solution to a problem.
Ergo, I will take 2 weeks reconstructing and re-doing the work. I can’t ever trust this app again, let alone pay an ongoing monthly subscription fee. Pity, because, while the app is far from perfect, it is unique and an interesting way to work.
But I I’m done. If you can take my money every month, you can answer a question or two when your app fails and destroys my work.
BTW, the app hasn’t been updated in 4 years!!!
