We love index cards. We use them a lot.
They are a versatile and surprisingly powerful tool for all kinds of tasks. From brainstorming to storyboards, to planning entire projects, they have a place in your workflow.
Cardflow captures the ease and flexibility of paper index cards and brings that experience to the iPad.
Rather than impose a rigid structure up front, Cardflow allows you to lay things out however you like, and organize them in the way that makes sense to you.
Jot down ideas or sketch diagrams on cards and arrange them on a large board. Write and draw using the buttery smooth Inkflow vector ink system, or type in a variety of fonts. You can even snap photos of actual cards to use as a background.
Turbocharge your workflow today! Whether you are drafting story boards for a movie, laying out the plot and characters for your novel, or learning a new language, Cardflow has a place in your toolbox. Have all the fun of using index cards, without the forest-pulping guilt of paper.

Cardflow FAQ
Is Cardflow free?
Yes, Cardflow is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Cardflow legit?
🤔 The Cardflow app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I initially thought this app was great as it allowed a way for me to organise my flash cards and use my iPad pen to draw graphs that other apps didn’t. However after meticulously adding hundreds of FlashCards in, I noticed some would wipe the information off without any warning with certain keyboard shortcuts and no way of retrieving them. Have emailed the developers with no reply. I would stay away until they fix the glitches and develop a better automated backup system. Also quite expensive.
Limited
Tried what I thought would be a simple workflow. Failed.
Drag 50 screenshots, then sort them into 5 groups on the board. (each screenshot being a card)
Each group would become a board.
Gave up
cardflow+
Cardflow is a valuable app for teachers. E.g.- use it for sight word flash cards, word sorts, constructing simple sentences, etc. I use it everyday!
Very good review and some suggestions
First of all, thanks a lot for your very good concept and for how you actually executr the production of this app. Very well design, immediate learning and covering almost anything we users need in order to put things together.
I pass to you some extra features that you may consider to implement:
The FIRST one is related to the possible option to enlarge each card on the master board, so to be able to organize cards presenting them with in a different size...
The SECOND one is to give the ability to insert more then one image on a single card
This is all at the moment and again..
Thanks for your job and best regards

I use Cardflow+ every day. Cardflow+ is useful😀
The perfect note card app
Index cards are, in my opinion, the perfect note system for people. They are what I would consider RAM. Index cards hold bits of information that we gathered throughout the day. Index cards allow us to sort and we can arrange this data on a daily basis. The issue with most note taking apps lack the ability to quickly sort and rearrange notes. This app fixes it. It perfectly simulates having index cards. I love that allows the user to link cards together. And also organizes them with a few gestures. This is a wonderful addition to my work flow.
Still Around
My first computer was an 80286 running MS DOS. My favorite program was called Card File. It was very similar to this one. This has everything needed to keep tabs on everything in your personal life.
Great product but speech to text does not work
Love the product, but when doing storyboarding, I use speech to text exclusively, but does not work on your product.
Best of the bunch
I’ve tried most of the note taking apps. For me, most are too bloated with extras that get in the way. This feels just right.
This app is perfect for me. I don’t draw much but the board layout, index cards and text notes are fantastic!
Crashes way too often to cost this much
I like this app because there really isn’t another handwritten online flash card app and i prefer to have everything online. However, it crashes pretty often, at least 3 times every time I use it. It usually only deletes a few things but it’s annoying to have to redo it for an app I paid $15 for.
