The restaurant I tried to book is in Korea. However, the restaurant website is no English translation and I cannot book a table through the office website. I found this app, and I can book my table in a minute with English instructions.
I was visiting Seoul for few weeks. Needed to make a reservation and ended up using Catch Table “Global Version” as I don’t have a Korean cell#. Reservation was seamless and I put pre-paid deposit which would’ve gone towards total bill or refunded once I completed meal. I went to the restaurant, they had my reservation and I enjoyed a great meal with my party. Food was amazing. After few hours, Catch Table sends me an email stating I was a no-show, thus they cancelled my reservation and returned 0% of my deposit. This is ridiculous since I have the receipt from the restaurant. As annoyed as I was, people can make mistake so I sent two emails to Catch Table service team across two days (6/26-6/27). NO REPLY OF ANY KIND. I ended up calling the restaurant thinking they didn’t check me in. Restaurant stated this is completely on Catch Table and they don’t have a control over it. The way Catch Table still hasn’t responded back (I am back in NY now as of 6/30) shows utter lack of professionalism. I will never use Catch Table again and definitely will be getting the deposit back through my credit card company.
This is a violation of Apple’s terms for using Sign in with Apple. But it is the only way to make reservations at many Seoul restaurants.
The app gives me access to some of the more high quality local restaurants in that’s otherwise difficult to book due to language barrier.
Took me 5 times before I knew I had to tap on each check to move to next.
Slow low, low, low
Made me deposit a large sum of money to reserve tables. Don’t recommend this app
My son and I had lunch here. We both eat at fine restaurants all over the world. We both agree that it’s way at the top of the list. We would come back for dinner here.
App user interface is easy to use and very clear; but payment system has some issues. Payment doesn’t go through with three different credit card attempt.
It’s a great app for foreigners who can’t get pass the phone identification system. I use this app since it also accepts foreign credit card however many restaurants on korean version of the app aren’t on eng version of the app. Wish it gets updated soon.
