Description
ChatSecure is a free and open source messaging app that features OTR and OMEMO encryption over XMPP. You can create new accounts on public XMPP servers, or even connect to your own server for extra security.
Unlike other apps that keep you stuck in their walled garden, ChatSecure is fully interoperable with other clients that support OTR, OMEMO and XMPP.
ChatSecure only uses well-known open source cryptographic libraries to keep your conversations private. Other apps may make claims about 'military grade' security but, without publicly auditable source code and verifiable end-to-end encryption, you cannot be truly safe.

funktioniert perfekt zb für jabber.de
Audioqualität ist Katastrophal
die Qualität der Sprachnachrichten ist einfach nur grotten schlecht. wie aus der Blechbüchse.
Good if you are not using omemo in groups
Unfortunately in groups, messages are displayed as sent with omemo but no one receive it despite they all accepted all my omemo fingerprints. Other apps do not have this issue. In almost all other matters the app works as designed.

Ärgerlich …
Nun ist doch noch mal wieder ein Update gekommen - aber verwendbarer ist die App nicht geworden. Sie stürzt ab, für ein, meldet keine neuen Nachrichten, zeigt unmotiviert Dutzende von neu eingetroffenen Nachrichten an (obwohl keine angezeigt werden oder reingekommen sind), die Zählung am Appicon ist völlig unsinnig. Von der schlechten Oberfläche/Userinterface rede ich gar nicht … Lieber Programmierer: Hol Dir Hilfe, wenn Du das nicht allein schaffst!

buggy und crashy
Crasht gerne, thumbnails für bilder werden nicht angezeigt, benachrichtigung aufmachen = crash, zu viel mit den einstellungen herumspielen = crash, ich muss die app sehr häufig neu öffnen damit ich nachrichten lesen und schreiben kann. abgesehen davon noch am funktionalsten und der beste omemo fähige klient den ich finden konnte, ein armutszeugnis für xmpp, steigt lieber um auf element/matrix. :/
Geht so.
Stürzt laufend ab unter ios 14.4.1. Momentan nicht nutzbar. Eingang könnte schicker sein. Grundsätzlich funktioniert es ja, aber wirklich alles könnte ein bis zwei Level komfortabler sein. Z.B. die Suche nach servern, die ganze Oberfläche, pw ändern, eigene Gestaltung von Elementen, ... Dafür würde ich auch einmalig auch zahlen, aber kein Abomodell bitte.

Noch eine Fehler aber erfüllt sein zweck 👍
