The app could improve a little bit in UI and UX, but generally very well done. Payment is super smooth. Delivery is fast, and packed in paper bags(kudo’s!!!), and most items are in stock. Well done Checkers I will be ordering many more times.
Having just arrived back from overseas, I am in 14 days mandatory quarantine in a Jo'burg hotel. 14 days is quite long to spend alone in a room, so they allow us to order from online apps, like this one. Due to all sorts of regulations our deliveries have to be in at 17:00 or we get them only the next day. My order was placed and meant to arrive in the afternoon which - due to high volumes of orders - it did not (these things happen during Covid19, of course). I phoned the helpline and was expecting to hold for hours, but it was picked up immediately. I asked for some help to figure out what happened to my order, and the helpline person promised to phone me back if she got any information (yeah right). Five minutes later she had done some magic and got my order on its way and called to inform me on this, wishing me all the best with my quarantine and almost audibly smiling about having been able to help me. This might all seem quite mundane, but having had some pretty egregious experiences with customer service lines in my life, this was such a refreshing experience. It really does make a difference if a service provider seems keen to actually do what their promised. Thanks, Checkers. You'll be hearing from me again!
