China Banking Corporation (Philippines), more popularly known as China Bank, initially catered to the needs of the Filipino-Chinese community. Established in 1920, the Bank was a vital key player in the reconstruction and economic recovery of the country after World War II. In 1927, China Bank was listed in the local stock exchange and in 1969 became the first local bank to process deposit accounts online. In 1991, the bank procured its universal banking license.
Today, China Bank is one of largest private universal banks in the Philippines. It offers a wide range of financial products and services through its vast network of branches and ATMs both in-bank and off-site. China Bank maintains its focus on building a customer-centric organization and building on the foundations for sustainability, as well as laying the groundwork to be able to compete in the digital banking sphere. It has continued to expand its branch network, strengthen its manpower with highly skilled professionals, enhance its technological platforms, and enter into new business lines.
It also provides merger and acquisition, capital raising, debt and securities underwriting, financial restructuring, and economic advisory services by way of its investment banking arm, China Bank Capital Corporation, and securities brokerage through China Bank Securities. It also provides insurance brokerage services and bancassurance through its subsidiaries China Bank Insurance Brokers Inc. and Manulife China Bank Life Assurance Corporation, respectively. The Bank has more than 500 branches nationwide, including more than 150 from its thrift banking subsidiary, China Bank Savings.
China Bank is also one of the first banks to distribute EMV-ready ATM cards in compliance with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, and has also recently upgraded its online personal banking portal to better serve its ever-evolving set of clientele.

China Bank Mobile App Reviews

Could be better. Pls fix login options and others

CX 50 on

United States

Please enable Face ID for log in Also, make app easier to navigate and visually clean and appealing- for example, put all your functions/main menu options on the initial landing page upon log in. Also, please fix any bugs/issues; app keeps on crashing whenever I try to use other features. Then I have to log in and type my details again. Make adding accounts simple without the need to submit it for approval. We can do that with Other bank apps.

App doesn’t work !

leivajs on

United States

This China bank doesn’t work..it’s an stupid and a joke app.. Don’t waste your time in downloading it to use…there is no customer service operators to help in resolving the issues…lack of attention and care to resolve anything…this Chiba bank is stupid !!

APP AS OLD AS THE BANK ITSELF

abby19681969 on

United States

Prides itself to be over a 100 years old and sure enough it shows! Very user UNfriendly app. Doesn’t work the first time you open it. App as clunky as the old people running this bank. Omg! For a sister of BDO, you sure don’t share her hightech - ness. Please fire your developers! I’m sure you can afford those who are more adept at making this online service (both desktop and mobile) more seamless. Pwera gaba ka hinay.

The worst banking app I owned

Nestor51705 on

United States

This mobile app is as good as going to the bank and lining up just to manage your account. It keeps crashing, telling me that my session has expired even though I just logged in.. and when I logged back in, it’s telling me that I am already in session.. and when I click continue… it’s telling me that my session has expired.. this is all happening within a minute. Now, it does have a diabolical humor.. it will tease you.. it will allow you to navigate all the way to your transaction such as paying bills.. but in the middle of that transaction, just when you are about to click the payee, it will again say.. your session has expired. Oh let me add my gripes about the OTP.. sometimes it arrives too late (already expired) and sometimes it doesn’t arrive at all. So frustrating. Yep, this app totally was written by novice developer. ChinaBank, you need to fire this people and hire professional developer. This app does not represent your company well.

“Touch” ID

Mmmmmmhhmhmhhmmmm on

United States

Touch/facial ID doesn’t work. I have to input my information everytime I have to open my accounts. The service is there, it just doesn’t work except for peeking at the balance. Not safe for lurking eyes or CCTV cameras. They can easily see what I’m typing to access my accounts.

Not the quickest but functional

flowersfactory on

United States

Log in process is clunky. No option for fingerprint login. Sometimes i have to log in twice. But once I’m in the account, I can transact with fairly the same ease as other banking apps.

Napkacrappy ng app ninyo

HBO Max Scam on

United States

Ang crappy ng app ninyo. Para namang hindi banko ang may ari. Biruin mo sasabihin session expired tapos kapg naglogin ka sasabihin another session is active. Hahahaha. Wala ba kayo budget na magpdevelop ng maayos? Napakainconvenient ng app ninyo in a user perspective at nakakatrigger naman from a developer perspective.

Deleted the payee and add it back again but won’t work.

assasination.fan on

United States

On the review, they replied to try to delete the payee and add it back again but it won’t work. I cannot add the payee anymore.

Inefficient Transactions

MS_AB_JM on

United States

If you need to make time-sensitive transfers, Chinabank is very ineffective. It keeps logging out when you are about to transfer. Highly do not recommend for mobile banking. The app itself is outdated

OTP

OTP was taking forever to receive.
