Another bought app for that’s now filled with nagging adverts for its useless subscription service. Can’t turn them off and don’t want the service.
I had this app on my tablet for ages but never really explored. I looked at it again and found the various videos to assist. Great for beginner like me.
This app is honestly so underrated Amazing for beginners to advanced, i had trouble with finding an app that gave me simple chords that didn't cost loads of money. This one gives me chords and unlimited scales for free, as well as the structure and theory behind the chords and the choice to make your own! I will be using this a lot🤪 There is a fair amount of adverts (which is understandable) but not an overwhelming amount, however you could pay to get the premium version and unlock everything which i cant afford to do at the moment ;)
When I bought ChordBank Pro several years ago, I bought it outright, right? Not quite. Now I get a message that the developers need to update the app for it to work on the IOS I’m using. So I download ChordBank, and I’m invited to subscribe to ChordBank Pro for £4.99 a month. So they HAVE updated it, but are not honouring my one-off payment for the app. Too bad. It was a good app, but not THAT good.
It has improved my understanding of music theory to the point I can spot some of the errors in it, such as occassional missing notes in the scales section. So that means it must be doing what I got it for. Shame it can't improve my speed at chord changes
Don’t bother wasting your time as you will not be able to experience the app even for a short amount of time to decided whether you want to go ahead with subscription or not as they will bombard you with a premium sign up add. Surely you guys realise that people need a minute to try it out and understand if they want to buy or not , I def wouldn’t sign up to an expensive subscription if I didn’t I really liked it. I thought apple App Store is tough on apps let’s through only the good and the great apps to the market, seems like they have missed this one.
Ever since I discovered the Reverse Finder in this app, I’ve been using it to note down and save ideas for chord progressions while I’m noodling. I used to spend hours messing around on the guitar, sometimes coming up with really nice progressions, but I’d have forgotten them the next day because I was too bone idle to write them down on paper. Now I can just tap the notes of the chords on the fretboard in ChordBank’s Reverse Finder and save them. It even tells me what they are! Genius. My creativity has improved vastly. I should probably investigate all the other features, but honestly, this one thing is a game changer for me.
I learnt a few things off this, but being asked for money every time I pressed on something more complicated than a busker chord got on my nerves. One off £15 is fair, £4.99 every month is too high. Unless you are adding new content every few weeks but I didn’t see that
Been using the paid Pro version for years and been very happy with it but now it just freezes up. Have reinstalled but can’t restore to the paid version, the icon just keeps spinning. I’ve restarted everything (ipad, router etc. ) but no joy. Very disappointed
