Waste of time
App bounces around, doesn’t respond and locks up often. About as useless as Citi as a bank.

If you lose your device, or your device operating system is no longer supported, or for some other technical reason including geoblocking of the App Store while you are overseas, or you are simply unable to run an app update for any other reason, then there is now seemingly no way possible to bank with Citibank SG or access your own accounts. The “one time verification PIN” sent by SMS is no longer a ‘backup’ option here to enable users to verify their login (e.g. via desktop). Basically you are locked out of your accounts, making payments or verifying purchases unless your mobile app is currently working - you cannot even send a secure mail for help (as you have to be logged in and verified for that too!!) Complete and sole reliance on a mobile app for customers to access their bank accounts is severely limiting, and a recipe for disaster when something goes wrong.
Chat online is flaky, people manning the chat don’t seem to have access to chat history so you have to repeat what you say all over again. The app looks like it belongs to 2005. Applying for any service is hopeless. Other banks is a one click open accounts but not this one.
Minimal use banking app + saved data now taking up 465MB of space (i.e. nearly half a gigabyte) on my iPhone!!! Absolutely insane bloat for a basic banking app, highlighting how over-designed & sluggish it has become. They need to scrap it and start from scratch.
I have been trying to get a very straightforward issue resolved. I downloaded the app because the phone customer service couldn’t assist, now I’m trying to send a simple message which it of course won’t accept if I can’t input a code that it won’t verify. So frustrating.
Your app sent me a notification. I was not signed in. It remained in the badge and wants me to sign in to read. But the information is already displayed in the notification summary. You can’t have it both ways, please test your app and allow people to remove notification alert badges when they are not signed in. Or don’t notify when they are not signed in, if it’s high importance then it should’ve been viewable without signing in. Also clicking to app support brings me to a huge contact list of irrelevant contacts that I have to sift through. I am looking for app support, not “all of Citibank support numbers” please make some effort. Guess I’ll leave it here as a review.
Fast & efficient e-bank transmission. Thanks
Well done, on par with DBS!!! Great Job
Used Citi regularly a few years ago in Singapore. They made changes to the app since I previously used it and now it’s terrible. The help explaining how to generate an OTP is inaccurate and does not work. The button shown in the help is not available in the mobile app, I could not make a simple transfer between our Singapore account and our Australian account using transfer payment. On top of that I realised they are charging $15 per account in service fees. I don’t know a bank that charged service fees in years.
Mobile otp doesn’t always work. It gets disabled on its own. Also while overseas and using another number means I can’t transfer funds without a local number. There needs to be an email fallback
