Clear FAQ
Is Clear free?
Yes, Clear is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Clear legit?
🤔 The Clear app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I want to keep using Clear exclusively but I also simply need to be able to navigate to an item on my watch just to mark it complete (and please include a watchface complication, even if it’s just a logo launcher).
I would subscibe or in-app purchase this functionality.
My app Review: Clear is the most elegant to-dos app yet designed. It has stood the test of time. The design is so clean it’s practically art. That yummy-on-the-eyes form follows its function and leaves out everything you don’t need. You can plan entire projects within while also having a main regular to-do screen. None of that ability is complex to behold. Perfect app.
Love the updated clear!
I love the new clear. I’m not trying to be greedy, but I’m curious if reminders will be brought back? Having reminder notifications was a huge help to me with my daily lists and I’d love to see them make a return if that’s possible.
Updated & It Feels so Good
Continues to deliver exactly what is needed to get everything done in a timely manner. Well other apps including reminders for iPhones try to provide what this clean & efficient app does, they still fall short. Thank you for updating it and continuing to make it available. Keep up the good work!
Great app! 👍
Simple, intuitive, useful
Perfect
I have been using this app since like 2011 almost every day and love it! Simple, to the point, elegant, not bloated with unnecessary features. I had to briefly use another app when Clear was crashing in iOS 16 and when I saw there was an update fixing that, I switched back to Clear immediately.
PS: Please please update Mac app and fix iCloud sync as well, I miss using Clear in my Mac :)
Longest Used App
This has to be my most and longest used app and I’m shocked there aren’t more reviews. The ease of use and minimalist design means I can use this app for so many different things. I’m staunchly in the KISS camp. Well done.
Had it for years
I’ve used clear for my daily checklist for years and nothing compares to it no matter what else I try. I just use the main page to type the days of the week over and over, then tap on those for each day’s tasks. I don’t bother with dates because I use my calendar as a reference and then transfer it to clear a week or so at a time. I hope the simplicity stays on the new version. One thing I’ve noticed is that I used to be able to toggle left and right from list to list, but that went away some time back. I miss it for the way I use the app. Regardless, it’s still my #1 go-to for my checklists.
Doesn’t sync anymore
And shaking doesn’t bring up advanced menu on iPad.
This makes the app worthless no matter how cute the gestures are
Unsung Hero
I’ve had this app since it was a weekly Starbucks freebie (yes, that long) and it’s still the most useful productivity app I’ve ever come across. It’s simple but effective. It helps me prioritize tasks and keep track of long term vs short term needs with different lists. The color gradient is a subtle yet effective tool for my brain, which I would even have thought of. I tend to get overwhelmed and don’t know where to start on my mental lists. Being able to drag items around to prioritize and visualize where I am is so helpful.
Great
Simple no nonsense to do list app. Slight learning curve with gestures. Please add Widget capabilities 👍 Update 7/16/23. Liking the simplicity of this app more and more. Be sure to turn off send usage reports in iPhone settings - apps
