Clear: Minimalist Todo Lists

New version is improving but enter for next task is bit clunky to exit, as is time scheduling. I found the bold function by accident- wondering what other functionality is under hood

I don't understand why a tasks app needs to buckle under it's own unnecessary weight and take up 1GB of storage. Great app otherwise; although making different colour customisation an unlock-able feature feels as intuitive as having to unlock one of the wheels on your car.

Lists are constantly vanishing with every update. No trashcan. No archive. No way to get them back

This app used to work better. Now the list items are hard to move up or down, when pressed and held it takes me outside the list to the menu of list titles. And when I try to reorder the titles of my lists it takes me out to the app menu. It’s also harder to add a timer to a list item.

I have been using the clear app for many years. It was so simple and enabled me to keep really great lists of various things I tend to forget. Important things like my medication and useful lists like what I had ordered online so that I knew immediately if someone was trying to scam me. Now I feel like I am using a different app. It DOESN'T sync between devices so I can’t make lists on my iPad and they’ll be on my phone when I get to the shops/pharmacy. It is very difficult to navigate between lists. It used to have the list of lists down the side of the screen. Easy to select the one I want. Now I seem to get to the master list by accident. Never quite sure what works. And pinching on the small phone can be quite difficult for an older person with arthritis in their fingers. And I can’t ever do ‘done’ after I’ve entered items. I have to do ‘next’ which creates an empty line, and then I can do ‘done’. Ridiculous. If anyone brings out the previous version of the app that I loved I’ll be changing over so quick you won’t see me for dust. Meanwhile I am just frustrated every time I use Clear Todos. I loathe it and am searching for another app that is as great as the original Clear. Which, if I remember correctly, cost me around $10.00. Which was very expensive at the time. Can I have my money back?

Half a gig for a todo app is a joke

Loved this app when I got it when it was very first launched. And can’t fault the changes and updates that have happened and also love this newer shinier version.

Have had this app for 10 years. Easily one of my favourite. Sadly it no longer syncs across devices. And it looks like mac version no longer supported.

After latest update, there is now just a black screen when opening the app. Literally nothing. All previous notes gone. Cool update bro…

Finally, after months of the new update not even launching thinking that I lost my data, it finally works. Except that now it takes 10 seconds or so to delete a list, and it takes a second to delete an item. Seriously, did someone take over this list app and replace it with a shinier but crappier version?? I sure hope the original developer isn’t part of this redesign, because that is truly embarrassing
