Confluence Cloud FAQ
Is Confluence Cloud free?
Yes, Confluence Cloud is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Confluence Cloud legit?
⚠️ The Confluence Cloud app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
For a good 6 months this app has been on a downward spiral.
Most noticeably, when going from the background to the foreground with biometric protection enabled, the app just sits on a blank screen.
As well as that, the editor is just straight up non-functional when doing anything more complex than basic text editing.
Great App - Suggestion
Suggestion it would be nice to be able to view linked looms natively on the page without it shifting the the loom app/ browser.
What I mean is that Smart Link Items can work natively on the app! That would be great
Virtually unusable on IPad
I have disliked the Confluence App from almost day one. I need to use it on the go, but the page formatting regularly gets corrupted, images take forever to show up and there is no obvious way to revert a page to the previous version like on the web version.
I really can’t recommend this app and the regular frustrations I have with it are leading me to look for alternatives.
Hoping for whiteboard support
It’s a shame that the mobile app doesn’t support whiteboards yet. Having my iPad nearby I’d be using whiteboards a lot more with the Apple Pencil. Maybe then it would make sense to upgrade for more active whiteboards
I want a parking permit renewed.
I’ve just come out of hospital. I’m sitting up in bed and trying to figure out what this is all about. I don’t want to start up a business, I’m tiring before I can understand what us in front of me. I get it. If a contender can’t follow the confluence of rubbish information, then obviously they need a parking permit!

Makes like more complicated
If you are “tool driven” this is the software for you bounds to fill your day with busy work then this is the software for you. Highly counterintuitive it make a 5 min job a 10 min one taking you away from what you are there to do. Not many redeeming features-feels like it was designed by a committee without the user in mind. It was a sad day when our organisation forced us to use this package.
Confluence space stuck squeezed into login modal form
On the iPad app, when I log in, the actual confluence space is displayed inside the small login modal form.
Picture can be provided , impossible to send a support request to atlassian even when logged in to our site.
Happy to revise this developers when you fix it.
Stay away if you can
Unfortunately too many companies are forcing this torture device on their employees. If you have a tiny bit of option to avoid anything from Atlassian do that. It’s real disgrace that so big a successful company can create so horrible products. Maybe you’re thinking there are worse out there, but don’t be mistaken gambling companies at least exploit people with something they want. No one asked for this
Decent app, but has no native LaTeX support
For technical roles, mathematics plays an essential role in system specification or analysis of a problem.
At the moment, the only way to incorporate decent mathematical write-ups is with Confluence Cloud add-on that does not render on the page unless you click it, and even then, it displays as a fullscreen image. It should not be up to third parties to make this kind of feature, it’s a common and fundamental part of markdown renderers.
The absence of native LaTeX makes it impossible to read mathematically oriented Confluence pages on a mobile, and is a main source of frustration for myself and my team if we want to check something, as we have to use a computer to check something, and the rendering is extremely slow and clunky. This is to be expected for a third-party app, and I don’t blame them.
Considering there are extremely fast and lightweight renderers out there like KaTeX, this seems like a really straightforward fix for something that has caused significant friction for years.
World class
Great app, love it so useful for working on the go
