Controller for HomeKit Reviews

Deleted my existing home setup!

shaun19762006 on

United Kingdom

Installed to see if it could do more with the limited Siri interaction with home, sadly it setup a whole new home and my existing is gone. Trying to setup again is a pain and you have to have an extra room called default for some reason. Doesn’t really do anything extra within home itself just fluff around it. Waste of money.

Rotten customer service

John Smoleskis on

United Kingdom

I’ve been using this app for a number of years. It gives access to more than Apple Home does. The hub mode works great. However, when things go wrong, or in my case, tells me that duplicate accessory names need to be renamed, and it can’t fix them with a “Operation is not supported” error, and support totally ignore you, I’m fine with them. No support link on their site. The don’t reply. Useless.

You can’t even start the app without starting the 7 day free trial

Jake1565 on

United Kingdom

Then you get charged £24.99 per year if you forget to cancel. The app is useless without the paid functions. Don’t waste your time.

Removed free version

HTS126 on

United Kingdom

This app used to have a free version with limited features, but enough for someone like me. They’ve removed this recently and now force you to pay. Shame, because it was a great app but now I’ll be avoiding!

Can't test without signing up for a subscription.

Plasma2K9 on

United Kingdom

I would buy this app at a sensible price for a one off purchase, but I'm not paying a monthly subscription to control my smart home.

Notifications no longer working

Bondjamesbond1 on

United Kingdom

I was using the Controller for HomeKit app to provide me with Notifications when Automations ran or devices were triggered. They seem to be working fine, since HomePod updated to 18.2, I’m getting no Notifications. Please fix this issue

Sanity

This app keeps me sane.

Reset my scenes

leor12321 on

United Kingdom

First thing it did was reset all my scenes, change my custom accessory icons to default, wipe out preset light settings, and meant I had to pretty much start my home automations from scratch. Avoid! It resets everything!

Doesn’t let you control HomePods

WixxyB on

United Kingdom

Wanted to control a HomePod with it, thoroughly useless. Annoying to be forced into a “free trial” just to find this out.

spam

dimitrisr on

not only does this app not work AT ALL without a subscription, it will also send spam marketing notifications
