You can’t even try some articles, if not subscribed. You open the app and first thing that pops up is the subscription screen. And if you wanna try, all the articles are locked. How can you buy something if you can’t even try it. Too agressive.
It is very disturbing to find out that you don’t get the 7-day free trial right after you push the monthly subscription and your credit card was charged.
Pretty agressive on how the subscription model pop up as soon as you open. And, at least for me, there was no option to use the trial period with the monthly subscription. You can only do the trial under the yearly subscription. Very convenient for when you forget to cancel it if you don't like the service. Prices are not be terrible. Unfortunately, lack Brazilian news sources makes it less desirable for me. It is not an issue per se. Just a geographic limitation.

The new version is awful - and I'm a subscriber! So many bugs that it's a miracle when I'm able to listen to a track. Should have waited months before subscribing.
This app used to be great, barring a few recurring audio and UX problems, but new content hasn’t been added in months! It’s the day after the US election and one of the headline stories is still a “the Kamala Harris problem”. It’s been in there for months! All the other stories are equally old. Unsubscribing.
I honestly can’t fathom why the UI has been completely overhauled into an AI text prompt mess. It’s really sad because I used the app daily and had managed to curate all my interests and preferences so well, only for it to now be impossible to find/navigate. The human narration was one of the best and most comforting features too. I can’t see myself keeping my subscription… Please change it back!
You’re curious right ? So you value humanity and people and interactions? Well Curio saw fit to fire the interesting narrators and replace them with lifeless AI voices . Own goal 🥅! I’m now only curious about how much more they could ruin a great app .
