Daikin One Home FAQ
Is Daikin One Home free?
Yes, Daikin One Home is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Daikin One Home legit?
🤔 The Daikin One Home app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
Ecobee is so much better. I like the Daikin system itself, but the thermostat and app are meh. Daikin please make a remote sensor so I can better adapt the system to my house requirements. It’s simple, cheap tech, come on. The thermostat is slower than a 2 year old Amazon fire and not intuitive to use. Also, this app only allows 4 event temperature changes a day in the schedule? Why? There is no reason to limit it, at least not to 4.

Very poor performance and serious mold issues
Since the installation in November of 2022 of my Daikin HVAC system the performance has been unsatisfactory and during warmer weather the system seems taxed, causing exterior moisture sweating on the inside unit. This moisture issue has built up causing serious mold problems and I’ve been diagnosed with serious respiratory health complications.
Horrible app
The Daikin app is horrible compare to the nest. I want to keep the thermostat lock but still be able to use the app but no for Daikin it doesn’t work that way. If you lock the thermostat , it also lock the app. Very useless feature compare to the nest.
A great A/C
This summer is already very hot but our new Daikin system is really doing a super job of keeping our home very comfortable with an even temperature as the smart thermostat controls the varying fan speeds.
A very good investment I feel.
Daikin Fit
My Daikin Fit 3.5 ton system was installed by Holy City HVAC. Works far better than the system that came with the house. Can control both thermostats from my phone. Runs half the time and close twice as well. Great job Holy City.
Faulty A/C
These past 10 days have been of concern. My A/C has not been keeping the house cool. I just had it installed last year. It’s a brand new unit. I spent $11,000.00 on this thing. This is unacceptable.
Warning!
This thermostat is such a huge downgrade from Ecobee or Nest. It doesn’t even support remote temp sensors even though my sales rep told me it would be coming for the past two years! They are slow to develop the app and add functionality. The company really need to invest more resources into this. Somehow the app ratings jumped from 2 stars to 4. I think they bought reviews. If you can avoid it, don’t get a Daikin purely because of this thermostat. I regret it every day.
Thermostat doesn’t increase output correctly
I have had this problem in the winter and summer where if there is a large difference between the indoor and outdoor temperatures you’d expect the output to increase adequately but that doesn’t happen.
I was out of town for a week so I set the temp to 78, it’s been running at normal output for 6 hours now and it won’t get below 76. Frustrating.
Keyboard is god awful
After my previous hvac died I had to get rid of my nest thermostat for this system. Most of the functions are good enough or comparable to the nest, but the keyboard used in the app is god awful. It’s slow, laggy and sometimes does not respond. The devs need to use the native keyboard for iOS. This is a really frustrating experience.
